Paraduxx, Napa Valley, Amicis Winery Tours.MOV
This is a summer time view of the Paraduxx winery in Yountville, Napa Valley, where they do a sit down tasting with a food pairing either inside their spacious tasting room, or better yet, outside in their garden. Paraduxx (Pair of Ducks) was started by Duckhorn to make their ZInfandel blend and then grew from there. This is part of the Napa Valley Wine Tour app from Amicis Tours and Sutro Media.

Salvestrin Winery - St. Helena, California
Salvestrin Winery is a family-owned winery. Since 1932, the Salvestrin family has been in the business of growing grapes and selling them to nearby wineries from their St. Helena estate vineyard. Rich Salvestrin, a third-generation family member, decided it was due time that the family begin making wine from their fabulous vineyards that were winning awards for their client wineries. Rich enrolled in the Fresno State University wine program and, shortly after completion of his studies, began making Salvestrin wine. The first vintage was released in 1994.

Great introduction to a newer winery that creates top wines from premier Napa vineyards. Their blends create wonderfully balanced wine every year.
Folio Fine Wine Partners
Folio Fine Wine Partners was founded in 2004 by Michael Mondavi, and his two children; Rob and Dina. Folio Fine Wine Partners are both producers and importers, making high quality wines in Napa, as well as importing wines from Austria, Germany, Italy and Spain. The Folio philosophy is to find quality wine from family owned, family operated estates.
The Mondavi name is synonymous with Napa Valley Wine and dates back to 1943 with Michael's Grandfather Cesare. In the 1960's Michael and his father Robert founded the Robert Mondavi Winery which helped to establish California as the premiere wine growing region in the United States.
Rob and Dina are the fourth generation of Mondavi's to produce wine in the Napa Valley and Folio Fine Wine Partners is the product of their efforts.

Duckhorn - Premiere Napa Valley Lot 2012
This Duckhorn lot is one of the 200 one-of-a-kind Premiere Napa Valley available to purchase in February 2012. Produced in California's renowned Napa Valley, Premiere Napa Valley is one of the rarest wine brands in the world. For 16 years the region's top winemakers have offered ultra-boutique wines to the trade, crafted in as few as five cases and never more than 20 cases, as individual bottlings for the brand known as Premiere Napa Valley. These wines are offered as futures at auction only to the wine trade—individual restaurateurs and wine retailers—so they have the most unique, and some of the very best wines made from America's leading appellation.

Law Officers Fight Wine in Groceries - John Dunn
January 9, 2013
It is one of the bills generating the most buzz on Capitol Hill.
Many Tennesseans support the idea of having wine in grocery stores, but now a new group is fighting against it.
Many lawmakers feel this is the year that Tennessee moves closer to allowing wine in groceries. A group of police chiefs and sheriff's are making a public stance. They don't want the bill to pass.
Loosening up Tennessee's laws to alcohol is a bad idea, says Knoxville Police Chief David Rausch.
About 100 of the state's law enforcement officers have signed a petition opposing wine in food stores.
If this proposed legislation passes, than you're just creating a monster, says Madison Co. Sheriff David Willfork.
The officers say wine in grocery and convenience stores will lead to more DUI's, underage drinking, and domestic violence. For economic gain to trade off public safety is not something that we support, says Belle Meade Police Chief Tim Eads.
Another argument the chiefs make is that wine has a higher alcohol content than beer, and it shouldn't be in grocery stores.
I don't see it as as big of an issue as what they're trying to make it, says Sen. Bill Ketron, (R) Murfreesboro.
Senator Bill Ketron has proposed wine in groceries for years. He feels it finally has momentum. The new bill would allow referendums. Voters in each city or county would decide if they want to approve the change.
When was the last time you saw someone with a DUI driving with a glass of chardonnay and some cheese on the front seat, says Sen. Ketron.
Grocery stores are also fighting for the change with a campaign called Red White and Food.
Absolutely zero correlation between wine being on a food store shelf, and any information that available that shows that there's alcohol related crimes, says Tennessee Grocers Convenience Store Association President Jarron Springer.
The fight over wine is just beginning and law officers are the latest to join.
It's not going to help public safety, it's not going to help our society, it's not going to help Tennessee, says Chief David Rausch.
Recent polls by Vanderbilt and MTSU have shown that more than 60% of Tennesseans support wine in groceries. Liquor store owners are fighting hard against the change, saying it will kill jobs, and close businesses.

After spending a week in Napa Valley and taking in so many beautiful sights, we came across this. Shot from the terrace of Joseph Phelps Vineyards, I am nominating this to be the quintessential view of Napa. Breathtakingly beautiful, crisp and delicious.
