East Dell Estates Winery Niagara Peninsula
This is a winery with Dan Akroyd as a part owner. We had a wonderful lunch there. They make a few wines very well and are very reasonably priced. This is located on the Escarpment section of the Niagara Peninsula. This video is a composite edit with the outdoor shots filmed several years ago and the interior shots taken on our summer 2006 visit.
Crown Bench Estate Winery Niagara Peninsula
This winery offers not only excellent table wines, but clever niche products. Two which our attemtion were Hot Ice, an ice wine which has a Wasabi spiciness to it is used as a perfect match to sushi or sashimi. Verjus is a wine based salad dressing substitute which was hss been used from the 1500's. It tastes great on it's own as an apperitif. This is a composite edit over several years. .
Vineland Estates Winery Niagara Peninsula
Arguably the prettiest place to have lunch in the Niagara Peninsula. Consistently outanding service, food wine and view from the restaurant patio
from the visits made through the years
Organized Crime Winery Beamsville Bench Niagara Peninsula
This is a small winery that produces their wines as much as possible by hand. The aim is for attention to detail and a resulting high quality product. When we were there they were very busy and looked very much like there was no recession affecting them.
The name is inspired from a true story about a feud between two Mennonite parishes in the region that ended in the 1930s with members of one group robbing the other's pipe organ and dumping it in a river
Peninsula Ridge Winery Niagara (redux)
Ran it through the video editor and views better than the original
Ridgepoint Wines Niagara Peninsula
This winery makes Ontario Nebbiolo wine
(rare to say the least) and they make premium VQA wines
Fielding Estate Winery Niagara Peninsula
This winery has consistently friendly service , good tasting wines at a reasonble price and a great view of the vineyards from the wine store. I don't hesitate to recommend a visit if you are in the area
Rosewood Estate Winery & Meadery Niagara Peninsula
This winery makes premium vinifera wines in small batches as well as mead, a very specialized wine made from honey. They also recycle grape waste (skins, pips and stems) back into their vineyard soil as compost.
Lakeview Cellars Estate Winery Niagara Peninsula
This winery has Dan Akroyd as a partial owner. It has an ambience that I found very surprising when we visited. This video is a composite edit over a number of years .
Mailivoire Wine Company Niagara Peninsula
This winery is organic and they make fine wines from their gravity winery. They were the first ones to use this wine making technique of the wineries we have visited.
Thirty Bench Winery Niagara Peninsula
This winery sells upper end wines. You can tell they have spent a lot of time training the staff, since you get a tour of the winery upon arrival and they give the customer a very polished
presentation to market the wines.
Creekside Estate Winery Niagara Peninsula
This winery has a very special red with a unique history.
A couple of winemakers experimented saving the rich tippings left in the best barrels of red wine in an attempt to make a complex red blend. The barrel was misplace and found eight months later. The wine turned out to exactly as they hoped it would.
This wine is now called Lost Barrel and has been made in repeated vintages.

Aure Wines Niagara Peninsula (Beamsville Bench)
This winery is located at the top of the Niagara Escarpment (Although it didn't feel like it.
It looked more like just up the road when driving there) We tried the BIstro. It was small and intimate. The service was friendly and the lunch we had was great. This all comes at a very reasonable price. A definite go back again experience
