Penneshaw Hotel, Kangaroo Island
The Penneshaw Hotel has commanding and uninterrupted views over Backstairs Passage with absolute water frontage from a cliff-top and now the newly completed spacious tiered outdoor dining and bar area offers unsurpassed opportunities to enjoy this view. The 106-year-old hotel is making the most of its prime position with major internal and external renovations, having just been completed in 2011. Glass walls at the front of the outdoor area and large windows opening to the sea air capture the light and view for all diners in all weather.
Day 4 in Australia - From Adelaide to Kangaroo Island
Short morning in Adelaide where we got to see:
- Victoria Square, also known as Tarntanyangga: nice square in the centre of the city.
- Adelaide Central Market: similar to Victoria Queen Market in Melbourne.
- Belgian Beer Cafe Oostende: nice bar to have some food and cheers with world-known beers:
Then, we headed to Cape Jervis to take the ferry to get to Kangaroo Island. You can find the ferry's schedules, prices and get your tickets here:
We run into some amazing animals as soon as we stepped into Kangaro Island. If you want to take a look at them, check the video :)

Kangaroo Island Plantation Timbers enters new growth phase with board changes
Kangaroo Island Plantation Timbers (ASX:KPT) executive director John Sergeant updates Proactive Investors on the company’s plans with new managing director Keith Lamb on board.
The transition comes at a time when the share price is rising and the company has pledged to produce free cash of around $30 million a year once it moves into production.
The company is waiting on approval to build a deep water port to get the product to market mainly in China and Japan.
Mr Sergeant says there is no other asset class like timberland, which offers investors a unique and diverse opportunity.
