Kampa (also Na Kampě) is an island in the Vltava river in central Prague on the side of Malá Strana. Charles Bridge crosses its northern tip and is connected to the island by the street Ulice na Kampě. It is separated from Malá Strana by a narrow artificial channel to the west called the Devil's Stream (Čertovka), a waterway dug to power water mills (no longer existent). It is supposedly named after a sharp-tongued woman who lived in a local home called the Seven Devils.( )
Kampa – sztuczna wyspa, a właściwie półwysep o powierzchni około hektara położony w centrum Pragi, w dzielnicy Malá Strana. Leży między rzeką Wełtawą, a wypływającą i wpływającą do niej Čertovką (Czarcim Potokiem) – sztucznym ciekiem wodnym utworzonym w celu napędzania 3 kół młyńskich zasilających młyn Wielki Przeor.

Petřín Funicular Railway, Prague, Czech Republic - 15th December, 2012
The Petřín funicular is a funicular railway in the Czech capital city of Prague. It links the Malá Strana district with the top of Petřín hill. The funicular has three stops: Újezd (at the bottom of the hill), Nebozízek (the middle station) and Petřín (at the top of the hill).
The line was originally opened in 1891, with a length of 383 metres, a track gauge of 1 metre, and water balance propulsion. This original line closed with start of the First World War in 1914 and did not reopen after the end of hostilities. The current longer line opened in 1932 with a different track gauge and completely new equipment, and operated throughout the Second World War.
Although design and architecture of the stations are similar to Prague Metro, the funicular is actually operated by the trams division of the city transport company.
This video features views of the train, and then the ascent up the hill to Petrín, some views of the machinery for the railway at the top of the hill, and then the descent back down again.
...Petřín... Dokument CZ (2009)

The Petrin Lookout tower was built in 1891, it is 62m (203ft) tall, and closely resembles the Eiffel Tower. It is slightly different in its construction to its French cousin, but clearly the influence is there. Located at the top of Petrin Hill, if you're not keen on the trek up the hill, there is a funicular that can bring you up, as can be seen on the video.

Petřín Hill is one of the largest urban green areas and its slopes are an oasis of calm in the center of Prague. The Rose Garden, or rosarium, at the top of Petrin Hill, Nebozízek Garden and the Seminary Garden with more than 2,100 fruit trees are particularly magical.
