Peterborough, Ontario: Driving George Street From North to South
POV video of Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, covering all of George Street from north to south. The video starts where George Street starts at Water Street and heads south through downtown. The drive culminates in the parking lot of the Peterborough Memorial Centre, home of the Peterborough Petes of the Ontario Hockey League.
Peterborough is a city of over 80,000 (132,000 metro) located northeast of the Greater Toronto Area. This city was established in 1819 as Scott's Plains, incorporated as the town of Peterborough in 1850 and was incorporated as a city in 1905.
The city is home to Trent University and Sir Sanford Fleming College. Highlights include the Riverview Park Zoo and the famous hydraulic lift locks on the Trent Severn Waterway.

PFSC 70th Anniversary
The Peterborough Figure Skating Club celebrated its 70th anniversary at the Peterborough Memorial Centre Friday March 24. The club was started in 1947 by the late Ernie and Ruth Ferguson. The evening started with a skate by Arlene Deck, who is the daughter of the late Ernie and Ruth Ferguson.
Arlene was the first club champion and after over 70 years of skating she still manages to get out on the ice at least once a week. CogecoTV will present more highlights from the PFSC celebration at a later date.
