Picture Perfect Tours Halifax Nova Scotia
Our shore excursion in Halifax Nova Scotia. We took this tour to better utilize my DSLR camera. We really enjoyed it and learned a lot. This is one of the most picturesque places we have ever been. The personal service and attention to detail was much appreciated. If interested in photography, I highly recommend this tour. A must see.

This is a brief glimpse from our October 28th, 2017 photo adventure to Sable Island, a place only a fortunate few have experienced.
This absolutely magical place where words and images can barely do justice for such a remote dreamscape.
Which is why we're excited to be working with Parks Canada in organizing one day photography adventures to Sable Island on select dates throughout 2018!
This will be a once in a lifetime experience to photograph and explore one of the most secluded places in the world With only 4 spots available, our small group will be led by Geordie Mott, a professional photographer, tour director and the owner of Picture Perfect Tours who has a historical connection to Sable Island.
The remote majesty of Sable has always held a unique place in our family history! My great-great grandfather Jospeh Blakeney was the island superintendent during WWI. His daughter Muriel taught school on the island and in 1914 she met my great grandfather William Mott who was a lifesaver stationed on Sable Island. I still have Muriel's old photo album from their time on the island! - G. Mott
We are on hand to organize the tour, ensure everyone's safety and maintain environmental standards, provide logistics, deliver a gourmet picnic along with beverages and more. Foremost though, as professional photographers with over 20 years of experience, our guides will be there to provide photography instruction and camera insights to make the most of your memories from this incredible opportunity.
Between the wild horses, the world's largest colony of grey seals, the shifting dunes, unique bird species and remote coastal vistas - there is so much to capture on such a spectacular day trip. This ribbon of sand perched precariously 300 km out in the north Atlantic is also an archeological treasure where the shifting sands reveal and conceal the worn remnants of over 500 years of habitation. With help from the NS Archives we will also be showcasing archival imagery from the island's past to compare to present day life on the island.
We work with Sable Aviation as our air partner flying into the middle of the north Atlantic before landing directly on the beach. We will have approximately 8 hours on the island with up to 3 hours of flight travel. Parks Canada staff will be there to greet us after our beach landing and will transport us back to the Main Station - the hub of research on Sable Island.
There is a maximum of 4 spaces for this tour in order to increase the amount of time on the island, and the cost for this absolutely unique day is $2075.00 per person + HST and this includes:
- One day visit to Nova Scotia's 'Graveyard Of The Atlantic'
- View the wild horses of Sable Island
- Photograph the world's largest colony of grey seals
- Guided one hour walk with famed Sable resident Zoe Lucas
- Photography instruction & insights to make the most of your images
- All entry and park fees

Welcome to Nova Scotia!
From May 27th to June 6th, 2017, we toured Nova Scotia as part of the Road to 150 campaign. It was our second province during our 150-day road trip and what an incredible time we had. From the absolute natural beauty of Cape Breton Highlands National Park to the historic beauty of Halifax, the small-town charm of Lunenburg, and the excitement of tidal bore rafting, Nova Scotia is an incredible province to explore. Although we accomplished a lot in ten days, we really only scratched the surface of this incredible east coast province. Whether you're looking for that laid back East Coast charm, maritime history, or incredible natural wonders, Nova Scotia is the place to visit!
Canada's Road to 150 was a 150-day Canada-wide multimedia road trip celebrating Canada's 150th birthday by exploring the uniqueness of this country provincially and collectively while answering the question; What makes Canada special?
We drove to and through every driveable province and territory, showcasing Canada's natural beauty and regional attractions while interviewing Canadians of all cultures and backgrounds, including local celebrities, immigrants, refugees, and everyday rural and urban Canadians. Our aim was to dig deep into what makes Canada such an incredibly inspiring country while showing off the best of Canada's tourism to Canadians and to the world.
