After visiting Zhangye's Wetland Park (previous episode), we took a hired car to Pingshan Lake, or Pingshanhu (平山湖), also known as China's Grand Canyon. It was a bit far from town. From Pingshanhu's entrance, we had to take a 17 km shuttle ride to go into the scenic area. To conserve battery power on our Backfire Ranger X1 electric skateboards, we took the shuttle in and skated out. We got out right before dark.

In Juli, way above 35 centigrades, but still overran by (mostly Chinese) tourists. You must take a bus around the circuit, and be able to get off at 4 designates viewing spots.
