Prague Food Tour - ULTIMATE CZECH FOOD + Street Food in Czech Republic!
????Copenhagen Street Food Tour:
????T-shirts and caps:
????Mark Wiens Banana Chips - Worldwide Shipping Available Now:
PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC - I was excited to visit Prague, a city I’ve been wanting to visit for many years. In this video, we’re going on an ultimate Czech food tour of Prague, and doing a full walking tour of the attractions and center of the city along the way. #Prague #CzechRepublic #CzechFood
Café Savoy - For one of the most historical and beautiful restaurants and cafes in all of Prague, head to Café Savoy. It’s one of those restaurants that’s as much a museum as it is a restaurant. It’s a good place to have breakfast, or to have coffee. I had the Czech style breakfast set. Total price - 685 CZK ($29.62)
Párek v rohlíku – Ladislav Červený - If there’s one Czech street food your don’t want to miss, it’s sausages and hotdogs. And after doing some research, I discovered that not too far from where I was staying, was a popular local hotdog stall just outside the metro station. What was amazing to me is that the bun was toasted on the inside, but the outside of the bun was so soft. Great hotdogs, well worth going out of your way to eat when you’re in Prague. Price - 25 CZK ($1.08) per hotdog
Restaurace U Bansethů - My favorite type of food to eat is classic, traditional food, anywhere I travel. Restaurace U Bansethů is a restaurant with over 100 years of history, and I was very excited to go there. Menu was all in Czech, but our waiter was friendly and helpful. Something you have to note about Czech food restaurants (at least in my experience so far) is that they often have dishes of the day, and don’t have the full menu. So it’s best to choose the dishes of the day. I ordered their signature stuffed duck, a plate of tongue and dumplings, and we also tried a beef stew, which was similar to goulash, but had a different name. Food was delicious, and especially paired with Czech beer. 477 CZK ($20.62) - Total price for everything
Lahůdky Zlatý kříž - Next up on this ultimate Prague food tour, we headed back to the center of Prague and I ordered a few Czech open faced sandwiches from Lahůdky Zlatý kříž. Great local place to get food on the go. 77 CZK ($3.33)
Zahradní restaurace Letenský zámeček - Next, we headed on a little walk across the river and up the hill to a beer garden and terrance overlooking old town of Prague. I would highly recommend visiting, the ambiance was fantastic, and the views were spectacular.
Lokál - Beer Restaurant - Finally, when I reached out to you on social media about where to eat in Prague, one of the top suggestions was Lokál, a place loved by all for their great Czech beer, and for their food. We had a great experience, and it’s the type of place that would be fun to go with many friends. 726 CZK ($31.39)
Thank you for watching this ultimate Czech food tour of Prague, Czech Republic!

Prague is the Jewel in the Crown of Central Europe and tourism plays an important role. This Prague tourism guide presents useful information for visitors to the city.
Prague Castle
Prague Tourism Information
Prague (Praha in Czech) was the ancient capital of Charles IV's Bohemian Kingdom, and has played a pivotal role in the development of Central Europe since the Middle Ages.
Its epic history has produced a vibrant city of stunning buildings and lovely old squares, with the result that today, Prague is one of the world's most beautiful cities.
As visitors have increased to Prague, tourism has become of vital economic importance to the city.
The effects of tourism in Prague are mostly positive. Much of the post-communism reconstruction and regeneration of Prague has been driven by tourism, as ancient buildings have been transformed into fine restaurants and stylish hotels.
Key Prague Tourism Fact: In 1992 the historical centre of Prague, all 866 hectares, was listed in the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage Register.
Layout of Prague's City Centre - map of Prague
The historical centre of Prague is divided into five areas, spanning both banks of the Vltava River. Charles Bridge is the main pedestrian connection between the two.
On one side of the Vltava River is the Old Town (Stare Mesto), with the Old Town Square at its heart; the New Town (Nove Mesto), with Wenceslas Square at its heart; and the Jewish Quarter (Josefov).
On the other side of the river is the Lesser Town (Mala Strana), and the Castle District (Hradcany), with Prague Castle at its heart.
Charles Bridge and Prague Castle
The historical centre is denoted by the postal district Prague 1.
Key Prague Tourism Fact: Prague has a compact city centre. From Prague Castle on one side of the historical centre, to Wenceslas Square on the other (walking down through the Lesser Town, across Charles Bridge and through the Old Town), is just a 25 minute stroll. Stay in a hotel or apartment in Prague 1 (or close by in Prague 2), on either side of the river, and you can easily walk around the whole city and see all the sights and attractions.
Just outside the city centre lie other areas, which are accessible by tram and the metro: Vinohrady, Holesovice, Smichov, Karlin and Vysehrad.
Old Town Square in Prague
Prague's Most Beautiful Views
Prague Castle is the most prominent Prague tourist attraction. Set on a hill, it affords visitors fine views over the whole city.
There are also excellent views to be had from these sights and attractions in Prague: Old Town Hall Tower, Old Town Bridge Tower, Lesser Town Bridge Tower, Klementinum, Jindrisska Tower, Petrin and Vysehrad.
And tourism in Prague has encouraged several top floor restaurants to open, offering diners stunning views over the city. Enjoy a spot of lunch in the sunshine, or watch the city light up at night: restaurants with city views.
Prague Sights & Attractions
Prague tourist guide books often use English names for famous sights. This can be confusing for visitors, as maps and street signs are nearly always in Czech.
The following Czech translations will be useful:
Prague = Praha
Old Town = Stare Mesto
Prague Castle = Prazsky Hrad
Charles Bridge = Karluv Most
National Theatre = Narodni Divadlo
Wenceslas Square = Vaclavske Namesti
Old Town Square = Staromestske Namesti
Lesser Town/Lesser Quarter = Mala Strana

Discover the highlights of Prague
The dramatic history of Prague is reflected in the beauty of its buildings. Once the seat of a mighty medieval empire, Prague is an open air museum best explored on foot. Our Prague tours can help you to discover the city.
River cruises are also a popular, and relaxing way to see the sights, as many Prague attractions border the river.
Opera and classical concerts are another highlight of Prague, with regular performances held in the city's stunning opera houses, concert halls and old churches. Prague also has some unique theatre performances.
Finally, there is food and drink! Prague restaurants have a reputation for offering good, often excellent cuisine in lovely settings, ranging from candlelit cellars to rooftop eateries with fine views over the city. And of course, there is the world famous Czech beer.

Czech Language
Czech, a consonant-rich Slavic language, is one of the most difficult European languages to learn. English speakers find some sounds very hard to pronounce.
Fortunately, tourism and global commerce mean many Czech's now speak English, particularly in Prague.

TRIP TO PRAGUE - CZECH REPUBLIC
Prague (play /ˈprɑːɡ/; Czech: Praha pronounced [ˈpraɦa] ( listen)) is the capital and largest city of the Czech Republic.[4] Situated in the north-west of the country on the Vltava river, the city is home to about 1.3 million people, while its metropolitan area is estimated to have a population of over 2.3 million.[5] The city has a temperate oceanic climate with warm summers and chilly winters.
Prague has been a political, cultural and economic centre of Europe[citation needed] and particularly central Europe[citation needed] during its 1,100 year existence. For centuries, during the Gothic and Renaissance eras, Prague was the permanent seat of two Holy Roman Emperors and thus was also the capital of the Holy Roman Empire.[6][7] Later it was an important city in the Habsburg Monarchy and the Austro-Hungarian Empire,[citation needed] and after World War I became the capital of Czechoslovakia. The city played major roles in the Protestant Reformation, the Thirty Years' War, and in 20th-century history, during both World Wars and the post-war Communist era.
Prague is home to a number of famous cultural attractions, many of which survived the violence and destruction of twentieth century Europe. Main attractions include the following: Prague Castle, the Charles Bridge, Old Town Square, the Jewish Quarter, the Lennon Wall, and Petřín hill. Since 1992, the extensive historic centre of Prague has been included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.
Prague boasts more than ten major museums, along with countless theatres, galleries, cinemas, and other historical exhibits. Also, Prague is home to a wide range of public and private schools, including the famous Charles University. Its rich history makes it a popular tourist destination, and the city receives more than 4.1 million international visitors annually, as of 2009.[8][9] Prague is classified as a Beta+ global city according to GaWC studies, comparable to Berlin, Rome, or Vancouver.
A modern public transportation system connects the city. Prague is also accessible by road, train, and air.
Since the fall of the Iron Curtain, Prague has become one of Europe's (and the world's) most popular tourist destinations. It is the sixth most-visited European city after London, Paris, Rome, Madrid and Berlin.[31] Prague suffered considerably less damage during World War II than some other major cities in the region, allowing most of its historic architecture to stay true to form. It contains one of the world's most pristine and varied collections of architecture, from Art Nouveau to Baroque, Renaissance, Cubist, Gothic, Neo-Classical and ultra-modern. Some popular sights include:
Prague Castle with the St. Vitus Cathedral which store the Czech Crown Jewels
Old Town (Staré Město) with its Old Town Square
The Astronomical Clock (Orloj) on Old Town Square
The picturesque Charles Bridge (Karlův Most)
The vaulted Gothic Old New Synagogue (Staronová Synagoga) of 1270
New Town (Nové město) with its busy and historic Wenceslas Square
National Museum on the Wenceslas Square
Malá Strana (Lesser Quarter) with its Infant Jesus of Prague
Josefov (the old Jewish quarter) with Old Jewish Cemetery and Old New Synagogue
Jan Žižka equestrian statue in Vítkov Park, Žižkov -- Prague 3.
The Lennon Wall
Vinohrady, a cadastral district that was once covered in vineyards
Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague, with its huge collections of glass, furniture, textile, toys, Art Nouveau, Cubism, Art Deco and so on
The museum of the Heydrich assassination in the crypt of the Church of Saints Cyril and Methodius
Vyšehrad Castle and Cemetery where many famous Czechs are buried, including the composers Antonín Dvořák and Bedřich Smetana
Písek Gate, the last preserved city gate of Baroque fortification
Petřínská rozhledna, an observation tower on Petřín Hill, which resembles the Eiffel Tower
Anděl, a busy part of the city with modern architecture and a shopping mall
Žižkov Television Tower (Žižkovský vysílač) with observation deck -- Prague 3.
The New Jewish Cemetery in Olšany, location of Franz Kafka's grave -- Prague 3.
The Metronome, a giant, functional metronome that looms over the city
The Dancing House (Fred and Ginger Building)
Stiassny's Jubilee Synagogue is the largest in Prague
The Mucha Museum, showcasing the Art Nouveau works of Alfons Mucha
The vast cemeteries that are also used for walks by the locals, such as Olšany Cemetery
Places connected to writers living in the city, such as Franz Kafka (one popular destination is the Franz Kafka Museum, also his grave at the New Jewish cemetery near the metro station Želivského)
The Prague Zoo, selected as the 7th best zoo in the world by Forbes magazine
The Nusle bridge with tube for underground
Prague Vacation Travel Video Guide
Travel video about destination Praha in Czech Republic.
Prague is a golden city of a hundred towers, a gem on the Moldau and a young city with a long history. The most famous of all bridges across the Moldau is the Charles Bridge that connects the old town of Stare Mesto with the city district of Mala Strane below Castle Mountain. Old Town Square is the name of a picturesque square in the centre of the old town surrounded by houses and churches whose facades form a colourful blend of numerous architectural styles. Prague Castle originated from a Slavic settlement in the 9th century A.D. and it is the largest castle complex in the world. The front of the main building measures more than half a kilometre. The Royal Palace is the present living quarters of the country’s president. Nearly one third of its inner courtyard belongs to St. Veits Dom a wonderful Gothic cathedral whose construction took several centuries. A boat trip on the Moldau is an absolute must on any visit to Prague. Most of the excursion boats leave from Charles Bridge close to the Kampa Peninsula. The journey travels beneath a few of the city’s sixteen bridges and the view from the boat adds a totally different perspective to the sights experienced on the city’s streets. Everyone who visits this city falls in love with it and cannot help but be totally fascinated by its special ambience. Prague is a thing of beauty in the very heart of Europe!

Prague - City Video Guide
The Central European city of Prague is the capital of the Czech Republic and is one of the world's great architectural jewels.
Like a city from a children's story book the city conjures up images of romantic fairy stories and dark gothic folk tales.
The city is a cobblestone labyrinth where even locals get happily lost. An easy way to discover Prague is to follow the Royal Route, which starts at the Powder Tower and ends at Prague Castle.
Along the way, stop at Old Town Square, a plaza surrounded by former palaces. Highlights here include the Astronomical Clock and Tyn Church. Explore the Old Town to discover sidewalk cafes, galleries and the ancient Jewish Quarter.
Pass beneath the Bridge Tower, cross the beautiful Charles Bridge, then climb the hill to Prague Castle. Rising above the castle are the 600 year-old gothic spires of St Vitus Cathedral.
Nearby, visit the tiny houses of Golden Lane, once the homes of castle guards, and later, the city's goldsmiths.
At night, locals and travelers meet under the statue of St Wencesias, to begin even more adventures in this most magical of cities.

As the Charles Bridge is usually packed out during the daytime hours I decided to go there in the early hours of the day. It was great to walk across an almost deserted bridge and watch the sun rising over Prague.
