I decided to visit the Kota Kinabalu city Mosque with a friend I made at the hostel. We saw the most beautiful sunset and the Mosque lit up at night. We then checked out a sea food court with some huge fish, but then opted to eat at the Filipino market. The next day we visited the Poring hotsprings and a small waterfall that was close by.
WHAT DID YOU THINK OF THE VIDEO? I had to continue it into the next day otherwise the first part would have been too short.

Borneo Malaysia - Poring Hot Spring
Today we will visit borneo's famous poring hot spring in Malaysia.
From kota kinabalu the drive to poring hot spring is around 3 hours 30 minutes drive through a beautiful jungle and mountains of borneo. The views you will pass will take your breath away.
On arriving to poring hot spring you will pay a small entry fee and will see a sign post showing exactly what is there to visit. There are 2 waterfalls, a canopy bridge, a swimming pool, butterfly park and hot spring baths.
The butterfly park is really cool and a good time to spend 30 minutes walking through it and is also a good opportunity to get some good photos.
The canopy bridge is a cool experience as its set up through the jungle with good views and many animals you might see.
Lastly there is the hot spring baths were you can sit and relax in a bath heated from the hot spring. There is also a swimming pool if you prefer to cool off instead.
As you leave there are also little shops outside the hot spring so you can buy gifts or cloths for yourself

Travel VLOG day 6 in Kota Kinabalu Sabah. After about 2hour car trip from Kota Kinabalu to Poring Hot Spring Ranau, we went to the canopy walkway, waterfall & hot spring. The entrance fees are shown in the VLOG.

The hot springs is the most visited area. Once you enter the park (opens from 9am to 5pm daily), just buy a ticket at the counter (RM15 (≈USD4.50) for foreigner adult, RM3 for local), then you can enjoy the hot spring in open area. We believe the hot sulphur spring has therapeutic properties that heal certain skin diseases, and the heat and minerals also can soothe muscles and improve blood and lymphatic circulation, thereby improving our health and skin.

Walk: Poring Hot Springs at Ranau, Sabah
Poring Hot Spring situated about 43km from Kinabalu Park is a must visit if you are in Sabah. Located in the Ranau district, Poring is about a 2-hour drive away from Kota Kinabalu city. The name Poring comes from the Kadazan word for a bamboo species which can found in the area.
Besides the natural hot spring main attraction at Poring Hot Springs, there are other interesting attractions located within the park to visit such as the butterfly farm, the Poring Orchid Conservation Centre, the tropical garden, the Poring canopy walkway and the Rafflesia flower area.
The Entrance fee is RM15 per adult (non-Malaysian) or RM3 per adult (Malaysian) while children fee is RM10 and RM1 respectively.
At the end of the day, Poring Hot Spring at Ranau, Sabah is a great place for families and groups as it is very well managed and many activities to do.

Poring Hot Spring was found by the Japanese military during the Second World War.
東マレーシア、ボルネオ島、キナバル自然公園内にある「ポーリン温泉」。源泉は６０～７０°ぐらいの”立派な温泉”だそうです。
第二次世界大戦中に日本軍によって”発見”されたそうです。
マレー人含め、南国の人は”熱い”お湯が苦手です。彼らは夏場のプール程度の水温で満足です。もちろん、裸で入る習慣なんてないので、服を着用したままガンガン入っています。
まぁ、日本の温泉とは大違いでした。

Not much to see with the mountain besides taking a picture of it in the background. The nearby Poring hot springs is pretty nice. Stick your feet in the hot spring water. Also some walking trails.

Poring Hot Spring (Malaysia, Borneo) trekking to the Langanan Waterfall
Poring Hot Spring is one of the main tourist destinations in Sabah. Much more interesting than the spring itself, however, is a trekking trail to the Langanan Waterfall (and very few tourist actually do that - on that day I was the only one).
