Connecting all parts of the city between 4-5 am and midnight, riding the Metro is definitely the fastest way to get around Prague. Operating on the same ticket system as the Tram, purchase your ticket on the platform and validate it upon entering to avoid transit fines (and ending up like David here). Prague (Czech: Praha) is the capital and largest city of the Czech Republic. It is the 15th largest city in the European Union. It is also the historical capital of Bohemia. The city is served by an extensive metro train system, most of which is underground.
