COZY DELL TRAIL HIKE IN OJAI, CA
Cozy Dell Trail starts only a mile north of Ojai on Highway 33 just before Friends Ranch. This first mile climbs to the top of an overlook of the valley. Although the trail continues on for miles this section is most popular because of the aerobic nature of the steep climb.

MTB_Xtreme: Foothill Descent
3.28.13 - this is a fun, fast segment of a loop in Ojai. Starts by going up Pratt trail, which is quite a technical challenge, and then up Foothill. The video takes place after the climbing and shows the descent down Foothill towards Cozy Dell.
Stay tuned for the long descent down Pratt...

Mountain Biking Sisar Canyon in Ojai, CA
AJ and I decided to explore a little and check out Sisar Canyon, a new trail for both of us. After riding up Sisar Canyon fire road to a max elevation of just over 3,800 ft, we were just shy of reaching Hine's Peak, one of the highest peaks of the Topa Topa mountain range. The video starts where we started descending from there on Red Reef trail which eventually connects back to Sisar Canyon fire road. All in all a great ride with epic views of the Ojai Valley.
Chief Peak
Adventures on Chief Peak, in the Topatopa mountains near Ojai CA. The final half-mile to the top was *much* harder than I expected, both getting up and getting back down.

GINGER RUNNER ADVENTURE CLUB #2: This is a new series I wanted to create highlighting some cool places I get to explore. One of the most common comments I get on my pictures or films is You are so lucky to get to run where you do!. I thought why not share as many of those adventures as possible with you to hopefully inspire you to get out and explore them for yourself.
Ojai is a beautiful town in Southern California that is known for its citrus, olives & pink moment that occurs every night at sunset. Surrounded by beautiful and rugged mountains, Ojai sports a fun network of trails that we tried to take advantage of during a recent quick overnight. We started at the Pratt Loop Trailhead, joined with Cozy Ojai Rd. and ventured down Fox Canyon Trail. While the loop was a short 5.8 miles, extending the adventure is easy provided you have enough water during the hot and exposed summer months. Check it out for yourself!

Filmed with the GoPro Hero 3 using the K-Edge handlebar camera mount. The clicking is because the zip tie holding the cables from hitting the camera case came off at the beginning of the ride down.
GCNW: Re-establishing Yucca Trail
The California State Parks Foundation, working closely in conjunction with the Santa Barbara County Trails Council, established a workday to open the long-closed Yucca Trail in Gaviota State Park. By creating a geocaching event, eight geocachers joined the crew.
This video shows the progress as about a half a mile of the trail was cleared.
As usual, I found my music at newgrounds.com, specifically Lonely Stroll by LawnReality
Lost Coast: Day 1 - King Range
The first day of a two-day tour of the entire Lost Coast. This section featured 24.6 miles from the mouth of the Mattole River to Black Sands Beach in Shelter Cove. Two thirds of the route was on the beach (sand, rock-hopping, gravel) and the remaining third was on trail alongside the beach on the bluffs. Vistas and ocean scenery accompanied every step!

Raceware GoPro Handlebar Mount Test - Gridley Trail - Ojai, CA
In this video we test out the Raceware GoPro handlebar mount on Gridley Trail in Ojai, CA. It does fairly well but on the really rocky sections it doesn't seem to hold its own as well as the K-Edge version that extends past the bars.

Divide Peak OHV - Santa Barbara, CA September 30, 2019 (Part 2)
Piloting our 2012 KTM 500 EXC's, we dual sported up from State Street in Santa Barbara. Then rode the trail in and out. It took us 30 minutes to get from the beginning of the trail to the end and another 30 minutes back out. We used to be able to run this trail at a much faster pace but we haven't been back since the Thomas Fire. It has gotten a lot rockier than it was before the fire. It still doesn't compare to Ortega Trail in Ojai as far as rocks go. I'll go ride Ortega soon and post a video!
