Lake Itasca
Source of the Mississippi
Lake Itasca Minnesota. Very nice stay indeed!
After leaving Scenic Park, we headed to Lake Itasca. There is a very large campground and so much to see. We recommend this stay.
Lake Itasca Wilderness Drive
Took a trip up to Lake Itasca in Northern Minnesota for a few days - its a great place and is the source of the Mississippi River!
Around the edge of the lake and encompassing a few others is a Wilderness Drive, a mostly one-way road which winds through old Red, White and Jack Pine stands and has stops at various interesting points.
Notable areas of interest are:
Aiton Fire Tower,
Preachers Grove,
Peace Pipe Vista,
The Mississippi Headwaters
Bison Kill Site
The footage was shot using my GoPro Hero3+ Silver and a Zhiyun Z-1 Evolution to stabilize the camera.
