SUBSCRIBE: - Let's go visit Psili Ammos which is one of the most popular beaches on the Greek island of Serifos and which is located on the east coast, at about 3 km north from the port of Livadi. The name Psili Ammos means soft fine sand and it is definitely the right one, considering its features. In addition to this, the shallow crystalline waters and the tree-lined shore providing shade, make it a suitable beach for children. In fact, this beach has been voted as one of the most beautiful beaches, not only in Greece, but also in Europe according to the British newspaper Sunday Times.
Serifos is a Greek island municipality in the Aegean Sea, located in the western Cyclades, south of Kythnos and northwest of Sifnos. It is part of the Milos regional unit. The area is 75.207 square kilometres and the population was 1,420 at the 2011 census. It is located about 170 kilometres ESE of Piraeus.
Greece is a country in southeastern Europe with thousands of islands throughout the Aegean and Ionian seas. Influential in ancient times, it's often called the cradle of Western civilization. Athens, its capital, retains landmarks including the 5th-century B.C. Acropolis citadel with the Parthenon temple. Greece is also known for its beaches, from the black sands of Santorini to the party resorts of Mykonos.

The beach of Megali or Psili Ammos is located 7 km north east of Patitiri, the capital of Alonissos. It is a small and pebbled beach with crystal clear water, surrounded by wild, unspoilt landscape. The road to the beach is unpaved and quite rough, but the trip is worth it. In the wider region around the beach, there are small coves, ideal for private swimming and sunbathing. Although these beaches are more difficult to reach, the effort really pays off, as you will meet an idyllic environment. The beach offers no umbrellas and chairs, lending itself to a relaxing, tranquil day at the beach. Some big vertebrae of a prehistoric animals have been found nearby, and they still can be seen by heading to the northern side of the island.

Only a few Serifos beaches are organized with tourist facilities, such as Livadi and Livadakia. The majority of Serifos beaches are secluded and perfect for total privacy.
We are going to review the main beaches and we are going to place them in 3 categories: the Good (must visit beaches), the Bad (visit if you have time only) and the Ugly (the ones to avoid).
