Day 2 of our Greece adventures. We've spent an entire day exploring different neighborhoods of the city. First, we've started with Monastiraki. Lots of shops! Great time to pick up your souvenirs. Then we wandered through the streets of Psyrri - an artistic area of Athens. In the evening we went to Plaka, the oldest area of the city, to check out a local bar. Then we headed to a nearby restaurant for a feast where we also enjoyed listening to beautiful Greek music... What a day!

Plaka and Surrounding Neighborhoods, Athens Greece
I explored multiple neighborhoods in the vicinity. Plaka, the old city and the historical center of Athens... There's also Downtown Athens with all of its great clothing stores and shops to choose from. However, my overall goal was to find an anarchist neighborhood called Exarcheia. I was told to stay away from here. Naturally, I do the opposite of what people want. So there I went.

Athens is a very interesting city, full of unique charms, and fascinating history. In this video, I head out on a neighborhood evening walk to just discover what's around the area.
If you're in the area, Dio Dekares i Oka Restaurant is a great local Greek restaurant where you can enjoy a home-cooked style feast.
We first walked over to a classic old style Greek coffee shop, and I had a double Greek coffee. It was a pretty cool place, very classic. My double coffee - 2 EUR
Next we stopped off at a neighborhood convenience store and bought some gum.
Geor. Olimpiou Walking Street - This is a wonderful walking street full of restaurants and cafes. If you come here, you can eat some delicious grilled meat at this restaurant:
And that completes this Athens evening walk and neighborhood tour.

Walking through Anafiotika in Athens, Greece
Anafiotika is a part of the old historical neighborhood called Plaka. It lies in side of the Acropolis hill. Anafiotika was built according to Cycladic architecture, and gives the feel of Greek islands.

Athens Red Light District Night Walk To Omonia: Is It Dangerous?
Athens Red Light District: This is a Saturday night walk in Athens Greece starting at Victoria Street metro station and walking to the Red Light Area on Filis Street. Then I walk to Acharnon Street towards Omonia Square. The Omonia area is not a good area to walk around at night. There are a lot of drugs, drug addicts, prostitutes and crime. I don't recommend that you walk around Omonia, especially at night. From Omonia Square I head to Athenas Street and see the Athens Beer Festival going on. I continue on Athenas Street to Monastiraki.

A 3-day-trip (72 hours) visiting and wandering around the capital of Greece, Athens.
Luckily the weather was really amazing and sunny throughout out all my stay in Athens.
As soon as I've arrived I went up to Mont Licabet and enjoyed a stunning sunset and view of the whole city of Athens from above.
The next day I went right away to the Acropolis where you can find the Temple of Hephaestus, the Parthenon, the Temple of Athena Nike...
After that I visited the Temple of Zeus,the Panathenaic Stadium, the Roman Agora, The Athenian Agora, and also two museums: Acropolis Museum and Athens Museums and Galleries.
Must-visit Athens neighborhoods are Plaka, Monastiraki and Psirri.
