New Brunswick Provincial Showcase 2012

New Brunswick Students Learning About Their Collective Heritage! In 2012, 178 school fairs were held in New Brunswick, along with regional events in each school district, as celebration of our collective heritage. From these fairs, 22 students, presenting a total of 15 different projects, were chosen to represent their districts at the Provincial Heritage Fairs Showcase held in the village of Gagetown, June 22 - 24, 2012. The New Brunswick Heritage Fairs Program is a provincial initiative of Heritage Branch in the Department of Culture, Tourism, and Healthy Living. Support is also provided by New Brunswick's Department of Education and Early Childhood Development. Moncton
Moncton /ˈmʌŋktən/ is a Canadian city located in Westmorland County in southeastern New Brunswick. Situated in the Petitcodiac River Valley, Moncton lies at the geographic centre of the Maritime Provinces. The city has earned the nickname Hub City because of its central location and also because Moncton has historically been the railway and land transportation hub for the Maritimes.
The city proper has a population of 69,074 (2011) and covers 142 km2 (55 sq mi). The Moncton CMA has a population of 138,644 (2011). The CMA includes the neighbouring city of Dieppe and the town of Riverview, as well as adjacent suburban areas in Westmorland and Albert counties.
