It was a trip to explore these two famous cities for generating very enterprising and successful overseas Chinese businessmen. This video captures some of the landmarks and happy moments of this trip.

潮州小食源於民間，潮州小食主雜，葷素皆有；蒸、煎、烤、炸齊全，品種豐富，口味清鮮，用料講究，製作精細，鄉土風味濃厚。潮州作為一座歷史悠久的古城，不僅街頭美食小吃隨處可見，很多留存完好的菇建築也很值得一遊。潮州的小吃，諸如腸粉，春捲，豬腳圈，粿條卷，蠔烙，魚餃，牛肉丸，牛筋丸，墨斗魚丸，牛肉粿條，牛雜粿條，甘草水果，紅粿，土豆粿，竹筍粿，樸枳粿，咸水粿，卷章，糕粿等等這些既可當小吃，又能飽肚子的美食要到潮州的老市區（即南橋-西湖公園一帶）去吃，可以這樣說，隨便那條小巷，你走進去，悠哉悠哉地逛著，都可以看到身邊一家一家賣著美食小吃的店鋪。牌坊街，古城潮州的地標性景點。老街兩旁及僻狹巷仔內那些散發著誘人古早味的潮汕物食（好多小吃）。
早餐【腸粉】時以白如雪，薄如紙，油光閃亮，香滑可口著稱。
午餐【牛雜粿條】是潮汕人午餐與夜宵的不二之選。
晚餐【牛肉火鍋】潮汕一款非常受人喜愛的菜肴，蘸食沙茶王更是美味。

【春捲】是漢族民間節日的一種傳統食品。除供自己家食用外，常用於待客。歷史悠久，由古代的春餅演化而來。
【鴨母撚】是元宵節的小吃，一種有餡的糯米粉湯圓。取其形似鴨母在水上遊蕩浮沉而撰名。
【腐 乳 餅】它柔潤清香，甜裡帶著特殊的香味。腐乳餅用料奇特多樣，繼承傳統的工藝，保持了餅食的特點；
【咸 水 粿】咸水粿是廣東省潮州市一種地方性歷史悠久的漢族傳統粿食小吃。
【蠔烙】蠔烙(潮汕話為o lua，潮汕話屬閩南語方言，o對應的字是蚵，所以潮汕也沿用了這個字)是廣東省潮汕地方特色小食，臺灣地區稱為蚵仔煎，外地人來潮汕總要嘗一嘗這道美食。
【綠豆餅】一道由精麵粉、綠豆等材料製作而成的小吃甜點。用料精細是潮汕傳統的地方名點之一，從康熙年間流傳至今，已有幾百年歷史。
【潮州三寶】老藥桔、佛手老香黃、黃皮鼓；很不錯的手信。
