The Old Sow
Check out the Old Sow, the largest tidal whirlpool in the Western Hemisphere. This is a tidal whirlpool and therefore the activity is very dynamic, constantly changing with the ebb and flow of the tides (she will run her hardest on the flood, at 3 hours before high water). The Old Sow lies between Eastport, ME and the souther tip of Deer Island, NB. This is not something we will visit on every departure, it will depend on the tides and where the whales are feeding.

Quoddy Link Marine Inc-Humpback Hobo Breaching - Aug. 28th
Ok, so this is Hobo, a humpback we see quite often with Quoddy Link, out of St. Andrew's, NB! I just so happened to catch this today, and was so excited when I did that I turned off the camera to head to the upper deck to tell the captain and Hobo did it again while I was on my way up. I know the first 13 seconds are boring, but it's worth the wait!!!
Quoddy Link Marine Inc. - Humpback Moustache
This was on our 2pm departure from St. Andrew's, NB with Quoddy Link Marine! We were not exactly sure what Moustache was doing, but at one point I mention on the video that it's a pectoral we are seeing, but after watching it again, it's actually part of the tail fluke, and the pectoral is seen later in the video!

Quoddy Link Marine Inc. - North Atlantic Right Whales
Once again, our departure from St. Andrew's, NB on Sept. 30/07 to see the right whales. I like this one because you can notice so easily the difference in appearence between north atlantic right whales and other baleen feeders we have in the bay.
Satula and Pylon - November 8, 2016
The crew of Quoddy Link Marine took our new Zodiac, the Fundy Odyssey out into the open Bay, south of Grand Manan to an area known as the Prong. We spent time with more than a dozen humpbacks including Satula and Pylon. These 2 spent a lot of time interacting with each other, under the boat but with sun and clear calm waters would could easily see them. Satula is the whale with the injured dorsal fin. Check out our Facebook page for images and more video from our time on the Bay of Fundy.

Best of 2008 Quoddy Link Marine
A short video clip to share with you some of our best sightings of 2008
Killer Whale - Bay of Fundy - Quoddy Link Marine
It is incredibly rare to see an orca in the Bay of Fundy. This is Old Thom, an adult male orca who has been sighted in Fundy in 2008, 2010, 2012 and 2014 and even though orcas are more commonly seen in pods Old Thom appears to be a loner. This trip on October 11/14 took us over 35 miles from St. Andrews out east of the Clarks Grounds and way out of our typical range for a whale watch. We took advantage of the weather and adventerous passengers and headed out looking for humpbacks (which we also found) and right whales but crossed paths with Old Thom. Thank You to all of our passengers who joined us aboard the Quoddy Link for this very special trip!
