Gattan Go!! is a popular activity that uses unused railway tracks.The location is in Hidakamioka which is 1 hour by car from the popular travel spot Takayama.A special bicycle is used to run over a railway track that is no longer in use.There are many large bridges and iron bridges on the extremely thrilling course that runs through a valley.The course runs through the mountains so you can enjoy the fresh green of the summer and the colorful changing leaves in the fall.The course runs about 7 KM round trip. The course takes about 40 minutes. Anyone can easily enjoy this activity.

岐阜県飛騨市神岡町にあるレールマウンテンバイク「ガッタンゴー‼」は、
自転車と廃線後の鉄路を組み合わせたアクティビティ。
2台の自転車をフレームにがっちり固定したレールバイクで、
旧神岡鉄道のレールの上を走ります。
It's in Hida-shi, Gifu Kamioka-machi.
Rail Mountain Bike is the unique attraction born in Hida city by locals. You can ride a mountain bike on the rail of former railway.
Mechanism is very simple. 2 mountain bikes are fixed to the guide roller with a metal frame that was originally produced in local. Rear wheel tire is faced on surfice of the rail directly so that you can go forward safety and smoothy by pedaling a mountain bike.
Because you ride bicycle on the train rails you can feel the vibration and sound of the seam of the rail. This feeling is the feature of this atraciton and something you can experience only by Rail-MTB.
