The Slovenian Railway Museum - Ljubljana
Ljubljana Railway Museum is home to fascinating collection of locomotives from across Europe, we see early ornate locomotives where the look of the engine was important to more utilitarian examples where the ease of maintenance was a major factor in the design. The museum is based in a former locomotive depot complete with a working turntable onto which staff kindly moved a number of locomotives for our group to see and photograph. We also take a look at an exhibition of signalling equipment and track maintenance vehicles.
Below is a list of some of the locomotives seen in this video along with some of the websites I used to find information about the locomotives featured -
K3 - 760 mm gauge 0-4-0T built in 1892 by Krauss Locomotive Works, Linz
SŽ 03-002 - 1,435 mm (4 ft 8 1⁄2 in) gauge 4-6-0 built in 1910 by WLF Floridsdorf

JDŽ 124-004 - Österreichische Südbahn 718 - 1,435 mm (4 ft 8 1⁄2 in) gauge 0-6-0 built in 1861 by StEG

Bohinj Museum Railway (Slovenia) Vacation Travel Video Guide
Vacation travel video about destination Bohinj Museum Railway in Slovenia.
Each summer, in Jesenice in the north of today’s EU Member State of Slovenia,an historical steam train travels through the Triglav National Park and both the Bača and Soča Valleys, to Nova Gorica. The first stop is Bled Jezero. Several actors are on the train, dressed as conductors in the uniforms of the old empire, a special touch that adds to the wonderful atmosphere. The train station is sited above a hollowed-out glacier that later became Bled Lake, one of the warmest lakes in the Alps. The Austro-Hungarian monarchy required a second railway connection between Vienna and Trieste. Its planning took more than thirty years and it took five years to construct: tunnels were blasted out of the rock, narrow valleys used to their best advantage, and amazing bridges constructed. With the completion of this railroad, the railway network connected Vienna and Central Europe with the Adriatic regions of the K and K monarchy. On this journey we have travelled on the youngest of the ‘steam ladies’ of the Ljubljana Railway Museum. The 33-037 weighs a hundred and thirty six tons, is twenty three metres long and its tender can take nine tons of coal. The Bohinj Museum Train is a fabulous experience. Not one to be missed!

Railway museum in Ljubljana
In Slovenia there are a lot of smaller and bigger museums. One of them is the Railway museum of the company Slovenske železnice (Slovenian railways). You can find it in Ljubljana, near the real train station.
The museum is not really advertised, thus I heard about it by chance and a few weeks ago, when I went for a short trip to Ljubljana, I visited it. Here is my review of it.

The Coal Minig Museum of Slovenia, an undergorund train ride
The Coal mining Museum of Slovenia in Velenje is certainly one of the most exciting and recognizable tourist in the Šaleška valley. It is the result of work of many generations of Slovenian miners and it represents a very interesting way of cooperation with the still working Coal Mine Velenje with an annual production of around 4 million tons of coal and coal mining tradition that has lasted since 1875.
