Ancient City of Sigiriya, Sri Lanka in 4K (Ultra HD)
Sigiriya (Lion Rock) is famous for its palace ruins on top of a massive 200 meter high rock surrounded by the remains of an extensive network of gardens, reservoirs and other structures. The rock itself is a lava plug left over from an ancient long extinct volcano. (quote from Wikitravel.com). The complex around the rock and on the summit was built in the 5th century, to serve as a capital, but soon after that Anuradhapura was restored as Sri Lanka's capital and Sigiriya was used as Buddhist monastery until the 14th century. Sigiriya is inscribed as UNESCO World Heritage site, it is the most visited place in Sri Lanka.
In the second part of the video you will see another impressive rock in the vicinity - Pidurangala - and views from its top to Sigirija.

Hampi - Anegundi - Kishkinda : Birthplace of Lord Hanuman.
Anegundi is the ancient kingdom on Kishkinda. The place where Bali and Sugreev from the Epic Ramayana fought a battle wherein Rama helped Sugreev to kill Bali and win the kingdom of kishkinda. Thankful to Rama, Sugreev offered his Monkey army to help locate and liberate Sita from Ravana's land.
This is the birthplace of Lord Hanuman on top of a hill.
A long uphill climb leads you to the top of the Anjani hill. The view is spectacular with tungabhadra river in view which crisscross the rugged rocky terrain.

1. मनसा देवी मंदिर, उत्तराखंड
हरिद्वार से लगभग 3 किमी दुरी पर स्थित यह मनसा देवी का प्रसिद्ध मंदिर है कहा जाता है की ऋषि कश्यप के मन से माता मनसा देवी की उत्पत्ति हुई थी यह पर लगे पेड़ पर धागा बंधने पर हर मनोकामना पूरी होती है जिसके बाद एक धागा खोलना भी पड़ता है
2. तारा देवी मंदिर, हिमाचल प्रदेश
तारा पर्वत पर बना यह मंदिर देवी तारा को समर्पित है देवी माँ का यह मंदिर शोघी में स्थित है जो हिमाचल प्रदेश की राजधानी शिमला से लगभग 13 किमी की दुरी पर है हिन्दू धर्म की देवी तारा को तिब्बती बौद्ध धर्म में काफी महत्व दिया जाता है माता तारा देवी को दुर्गा माता की नो बहनो में नोवी बहन माना जाता
3. शारदा माता मंदिर, मध्यप्रदेश
मध्यप्रदेश की त्रिकुटा पहाड़ी पर शारदा माता का यह मंदिर बसा हुआ है माता शारदा का यह मंदिर देवी के 51 शक्ति पीठों में से एक माना जाता है। यह एक प्रसिद्ध हिन्दू तीर्थस्थल है, जो मैहर मध्य प्रदेश के सतना जिले में एक छोटे से नगर में बसा हुआ है |
4. चामुंडेश्वरी मंदिर, कर्नाटक
इस मंदिर की स्थापना 12वीं सदी में की गई थी। चामुंडेश्वरी मंदिर चामुंडी पहाडी कर्नाटक के मैसूर में स्थित है। इस पहाड़ी को बहुत ही पवित्र माना जाता है इस मंदिर के परिसर में राक्षस महिषासुर की एक 16 फुट ऊंची प्रतिमा स्थापित है। जो यहां का मुख्य आकर्षण का केंद्र है
5. कनक दुर्गा मंदिर, आंध्र प्रदेश
विजयवाड़ा में स्थित ‘इंद्रकीलाद्री’ नाम के इस पहाड़ पर स्थापित माता कनक दुर्गेश्वरी का यह मंदिर आंध्रप्रदेश के मुख्य मंदिरों में एक है। पर्वत के शिखर पर बसे इस मंदिर में श्रद्धालुओं के जयघोष से समूचा वातावरण और भी आध्यात्मिक हो जाता है।
6. अधर देवी मंदिर, राजस्थान
राजस्थान का इकलौता हिल स्टेशन माउंटआबू से 3 किलोमीटर दूर पहाड़ी पर स्थित है अर्बुदा देवी मंदिर। यहां मान्यता है कि अगर कोई भक्त पूरी श्रद्धा के साथ देवी की पूजा करता है तो यहां उसे बादलों में देवी की छवि दिखती है। अधर देवी मंदिर तक पहुंचने के लिए भक्तों को लगभग 365 सीढ़ियां चढ़नी पड़ती है।
7. तारा तारिणी मंदिर, उड़ीसा
तारा तारिणी देवी का मंदिर अपने आप में बहुत खास है क्योंकि यह मंदिर दो जुड़वाँ देवी, देवी तारा और देवी तारिणी के लिए समर्पित है देवी तारा तारिणी का मंदिर देवी सती के 4 शक्ति पीठों के मध्य में स्थापित है, मतलब इस मंदिर की चारों दिशा में एक एक शक्ति पीठ है।
8. बम्लेश्वरी देवी मंदिर, छत्तीसगढ़
बम्लेश्वरी देवी मंदिर का मंदिर छत्तीसगढ़ राज्य के डोंगरगढ़ में 1600 फ़ीट ऊंची पहाड़ी पर बना हुआ है इस मंदिर में प्रवेश करने के लिए भक्तो को लगभग 1100 सीढिया चढ़ानी होती है इस स्थान का नाम डोंग और गढ़ दो शब्दो से मिलकर बना है डोंग का अर्थ होता है पर्वत और गढ़ का मतलब होता है क्षेत्र।
9. सप्तश्रृंगी देवी मंदिर, महाराष्ट्र
सप्तश्रृंगी देवी का यह मंदिर 4800 फ़ीट ऊँचे सप्तश्रृंग पर्वत बना हुआ है जो नासिक से 65 किलोमीटर की दुरी पर है इस मंदिर में 18 हाथ वाली देवी की विशाल मूर्ति है जिनसे वे अलग-अलग अस्त्र-शस्त्र पकडे हुए है। यहां की देवी को सप्तश्रृंगी यानी सात पर्वतों की देवी इसलिए कहा जाता है क्योंकि यह मंदिर छोटे-बड़े सात पर्वतों से घिरा हुआ है
10. वैष्णो देवी मंदिर, जम्मू-कश्मीर
यह उत्तरी भारत में सबसे पूजनीय पवित्र स्थलों में से एक है। माता वैष्णो देवी का मंदिर, 5,200 फीट की ऊंचाई बना हुआ है जो कटरा से लगभग 12 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर स्थित है। मंदिर के गर्भ गृह तक जाने के लिए एक प्राचीन गुफा थी, जिसे अब बंद करके दूसरा रास्ता बना दिया गया है।

The first reference of Aurangabad Caves is cited in the big Chaitya of Kanheri. The Aurangabad Caves were dug out of comparatively soft basalt rock during the 6th and 7th century. Caves are divided into three separate groups depending on their location. Sculptural carvings of Aurangabad Caves reached belong to highest achievements of Indian classical art and can be compared to the best paintings of Ajanta.
It is Located deep inside the Sahayadri hill region, Ajanta Caves are a beauty to visit. The Caves Are Known for their Beautiful Depictions of the Buddhist Jatakas. There are about 29 caves in Ajanta. In ancient times because of their secluded location. These were used by the Buddhist monks for religious practices. Cave paintings are yet another feature of the Ajanta Indian Caves. Well Known cave Painting at this magnificent tourist destination Include Avalokiteshvara, Boddhisattvas and Padmapani. Ellora Caves is the symbol of Buddhist halls of worship, Monasteries and Hindu and Jain temples. It took over five centuries to dug these temples and monasteries out of the ground. The artistic legacy of the Ellora caves has earned it the honor of being a world heritage site. India Provide the Impressive range of caves located out the country. MADHUGIRI FORT- A DOCUMENTARY
MADHUGIRI FORT- is 3,930 ft (1,200 m) elevation, Madhugiri is asingle hill. It is the second largest monolith in Asia.[1] Nestled on its steep slopes is a fort. Antaralada Bagilu, Diddibagilu, and MysuruGate are the three gateways of the fort. A series of doorways leads to the hill. The ruined temple of Gopalakrishna is located at the top.
The construction of the original mudfort was undertaken by Raja Hira Gowda in the 17th century around 1670 AD. An interesting incident prompted the Gowda family to considering building a fortress. A stray sheep went missing around the Madhugiri hillock only to return late in the night dripping with water. This was music to the ears since a spring would definitely be welcome sign for rain deficient area. A decision to construct a fortress was arrived and the task was completed. The Gowdas started ruling this region based at Madhugiri Fort.

The Chamundeshwari Temple is located on the top of Chamundi Hills about 13 km from the palace city of Mysore in the state of Karnataka in India. The temple was named after Chamundeshwari or Durga, the fierce form of Shakti, a tutelary deity held in reverence for centuries by Mysore Maharajas.The Chamundeshwari Temple is considered as a Shakti Peetha and one among the 18 Maha Shakti Peethas. It is known as Krouncha Pitham as the region was known in Puranic times as Krouncha Puri.The original shrine is thought to have been built in the 12th century by Hoysala rulers while its tower was probably built by the Vijayanagar rulers of the 17th century. In 1659, a flight of one thousand steps was built leading up to the 3000 foot summit of the hill.[2] At the temple are several images of Nandi (the bull mount of Shiva). There is a huge granite Nandi on the 800th step on the hill in front of a small Shiva temple a short distance away. This Nandi is over 15 feet high, and 24 feet long and around its neck are exquisite bells. This video is scripted,narrated and presented by Sukriti Roy.
