While taking a scenic route during a speaking tour in Arizona and New Mexico, I stopped briefly in the town of Payson, Arizona. In the heart of town is a beautiful lake and park. Beside the park is the Rim Country Museum which also is home to the Zane Grey Cabin. This painstaking reproduction is of the cabin where he wrote many westerns.

Route 66- Interlude, The Grand Canyon, Arizona
During my Route 66 trip we had two nights in Williams Arizona, allowing us to take a ride up to the Grand Canyon, and it was gob smacking! I was that blown away that I did not realise I was not recording the vlog I made on the ride back until I reached the Planes of Fame museum!
Jim Strong Artist Payson Arizona 928-474-6071
I had the privilege to stay at a rental this weekend at the W.D. Ranch outside of Payson Arizona where I met the loveliest Christian couple Jim and Mary Strong. They have a beautiful cabin that takes you back to the pioneer days. They have a wood burning stove that heats the whole cabin very well and Jim is a retired professional artist. I was able to to take a tour of Jim's studio on the property and was totally amazed at this mans accomplishments as an artist. Not only is Jim an awesome artist but an awesome human being as well. Jim and Mary have a heart of gold and if you ever get the chance you should experience the peace and solitude this cabin has to offer. I couldn't help but put one of my cowboy songs on the video of Jim's Art because I was taken back to the pioneer days and just can't get this cabin out of my mind.
The Colorful Arizona Desert
I have enjoyed discovering a new perspective of the Arizona desert over the past 30 days. The abundance of flowers, landscape diversity and wildlife cannot be observed from the highway driving by. The nooks and crannies present so many opportunities for photography that my camera has been on overload. I hope this 'home video' affords all who view it a different perspective of the beauty of the desert.
