Tokai An is one of the 48 sub-temples of Myoshin Ji (妙心寺), and it was founded in 1484. The grounds of the temple were formally a palace for the Emperor Hanazono (花園上皇), but he became a monk, and in 1342, he donated the palace to found the temple. Kanzan Egen (関山慧玄), one of the disciples of Shuho Myocho (宗峰妙超), was the founder. Currently, this temple is not open to the public.
This image shows the very unique chozubachi (手水鉢) – wash bowl/basin for the visitors – made of stone bridge girder. There is a Kasuga-style hexagon garden lantern (春日型六角灯籠) made of stone next to this basin. One of the original purpose for the lanterns are to illuminate the path. Chozubachi was originator used to purify the mouth and the body of the visitor to the sacred places (i.e., temples/shrines), but it is also incorporated into the Japanese Tea Ceremony where the visitors wash their hands and rinse their mouths before they enter the tea room. Greenness of the garden and the water in the basin may echo within the visitor’s soul as he/she sips the tea made of green tea and the hot water.

☆Bits of knowledge〜Kinkaku-ji Rokuon-ji〜
Kinkaku-ji is one of Kyoto's leading temples. Its formal name is Rokuon-ji. It was built at the end of the 14th century originally as a villa for Ashikaga Yoshimitsu, the shogun at the time. After Yoshimitsu's death, as indicated in his will, the building was converted into a temple of the Zen sect of Buddhism, which is famous for the practice of zazen, or religious meditation (a major method of Buddhist training, and method of meditation for establishing one's foundation in Zen Buddhism). The shining Kinkaku (Golden Pavilion) is a symbol of Kyoto. This temple has been burnt down many times in the flames of war and other conflagrations, and more recently by arson, which incident has been made famous by Yukio Mishima's novel, Kinkakuji (The Temple of the Golden Pavilion). However, it was restored in 1955, with major improvement work being done on it in 1987, so that all of the gold leaf has been replaced. Recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage, Kinkaku-ji is one of the historical buildings most representative of Japan.

『How to use 手水舎(Chohzusha)』~Correct manners~
Beware to the water shop. Take a ladle with your right hand and scoop up your hands. First purify your left hand with its handwash.
Then change the ladle to the left hand and purify the right hand with the same action.
Next, change the ladle on the right hand to rinse mouth again, store the hand water in the palm on the left and put it in the mouth (do not put a mouth directly on the bowl of the ladle). Rinse mouth with no sound and cleanse, gently spit out. Clear the left hand again with the previous action.
Finally hold the handle of the ladle with one hand, tilt the bowl portion upwards, rinse the handle with rinse water. Gently put the ladle back to its original position and bow.

①〝UKA NO MITAMA NO KAMI 〟 was born the Son of God between SUSA NO O NO MIKOTO ( 須佐之男命)and a Princess of KAMU OOICHI HIME(神大市比売) and 〝UKA〟 represents the Kokurei (
means Spirit of grain ) in the old-shape of uke (food). and Another name of the God of ukanomitama, are also referred to as the Inari God ( 稲荷神 spells in a Kanji ).
Well, Something in the first place the name Inari ( 稲荷) is?
As modern Japanese referred to the foreign words in the katakana, old Japanese has expressed the foreign words in the man'yōgana ( 万葉仮名 ) as 伊奈利, not 稲荷.
Inari ( 伊奈利 ) originally, can not read and 稲荷. This is because, this is coming from the phonetic equivalent of Chinese kanji of Old.
Well, In What is the original meaning?
This is of Latin, Jesvs (iesvs) Nazarenvs, Rex Ivdaeorvm = King of the Jews Jesus of Nazareth, the initials of J (I) · N · R · I is the origin.
According to the Bible, at the time of Jesus crucifixion, this word is Hebrew, Greek, in the three countries language of Latin, some to have been listed in the overhead of Jesus.
In Christian art painting, when to draw the cross of Christ, because the character of the J N R I or I N R I to the overhead has been well drawn, please come and check if there is a chance to see.
What that I would, this sign?
Sign of the right hand of the fingertips of the bronze statue of Maitreya in Kōryū-ji in Kyoto, Sign of the right hand of the fingertips of the Holy image (icon) in the Nikolai church (Eastern Christian Church) at Ochanomizu in Tokyo , and Sign of the right hand of the fingertipsof archbishop images that are discovered in Dunhuang of China ... The answer is, this is the meaning of the trinity = main and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, which is written in the Bible. In the various parts of Japan there is a Inari Shrine, also referred to as a shrine eighty thousand and God of ukanomitama have been enshrined. In other words, it means that Jesus Christ has been enshrined in various parts of Japan. However, most of the Japanese people do not understand that. I think This is something mysterious.
Hozugawa-kudari, Rafting Down the Hozugawa!
The expression Kawakudari, a boat ride down the river, was started to be used when the history of using the Hozu-gawa River for transport began. It is a water transport whose history started when the capital was in Nagaokakyo City, even before there was a capital in Kyoto City. To help build the new capital lots of logs from Tanba, bound together into rafts, were transported down the Hozu-gawa River to Kyoto. Later the Tanba logs were in great demand and sent down the river by for the construction of Tenryu-ji Temple, Rinsen-ji Temple, Osaka Castle, and Fushimi Castle.
Not only logs, but also rice, wheat, firewood, and charcoal were transported after Ryoi Suminokura, a wealthy merchant called the River Lord in Kyoto, opened the ravine up for boat transports in 1606.
Not only is the scenery beautiful year-round, but the Hozugawa Ravine holds many unique points of interest, including; colossal boulders, glimpses of the surrounding mountains, mysterious deep pools, wildlife, charming flowers and trees, and intriguing geologic formations.
The Hozugawa River Boat Ride is a world famous sightseeing experience whose travel distance is 16 kilometers-long, traveling from Kameoka to Arashiyama.
Ryoi Suminokura and Hozu-gawa River: When Ryoi was 51, he decided to launch his long-cherished plan -- to excavate Hozu-gawa River for the waterway from Tanba to transport abundant goods to Kyoto. In Keicho 11, 1606, he started out on the development of the Hozu-gawa River water route, where there were lots of difficult and dangerous parts to open in the mountains -- many huge rocks blocking the water route and rapids. And the major waterway connection between Tanba and Kyoto had been completed at the cost of many lives and an enormous amount of money.
Not only did he open the waterway of Hozu-gawa River, but also opened Takase-gawa Canal to connect Kyoto and Osaka, and opened waterways of Tenryu-gawa River and Fuji-gawa River.
When the boat reaches Saga-Arashiyama, close to the landing point of the ride, you can see Daihikaku Senko-ji Temple. This temple was built by Ryoi to mourn for the heavy toll of lives during the excavation of Hozugawa River. There is a monument of Ryoi, too.
My Last Day (Bengali, Common Language) HD
The “My Last Day” story unfolds through the eyes of a criminal who receives the same brutal crucifixion sentence as Christ. My Last Day is a short film of regret, repentance and redemption. In a beautiful animé style, a prisoner watches as Jesus gets flogged in Pilate's courtyard. He remembers Jesus teaching and wonders why they're hurting an innocent man. Horrified, he remembers his own crime.
The crowds in the courtyard scream for Jesus to be crucified. The thief, another man, and Jesus are loaded with the beams for their crosses and march to Golgotha. They arrive and nails are driven through their wrists. Each man is hung on a cross, their feet nailed to a wooden shelf. Our thief claims that Jesus is the Messiah and asks that Jesus remember him. Jesus promises him they will be in paradise together that day. A dark storm overwhelms the hill and Jesus dies. The thief passes away with a gasp and sees Jesus in a beautiful place.

Best of Akhil Bandhu Ghosh | Hit Bengali Modern Songs Collection
Akhil Bandhu Ghosh is that legend who can be coined as the master of masters. This compilation is Best Of Akhil Bandhu Ghosh or can also be termed as Best of Hit Bengali Songs. The melody king of Bengali Modern Songs Akhil Bandhhu Ghosh demands respect to the fullest. Born in 1920, Akhilbandhu's childhood was spent in his maternal uncle Kalidas Guha’s house. There he found an environment conducive to music as the house had been a center of daily musical activities. Akhil Bandhu would listen to a song and soon learn it all by himself. As a ten-year-old boy, he won accolades from listeners by singing Tagore’s Ami bhoy korbo na, an event reported in the newspapers of that time. An inspired Akhil Bandhu then began to formally learn Indian classical music first from his guru Nirapada Mukhopadhyay and then, mainly because of his guru’s wishes, from Tarapada Chakraborty and Chinmoy Lahiri, both illustrious exponents of classical music. Akhilbandhu learnt from these masters the subtleties of Indian classical music. In January 1947, Akhil Bandhu’s first record was published by Megaphone Record Company. This exceptional talent never had to look back since then. He recorded classical-based and modern Bengali tracks as well as the songs of Nazrul. He also performed in many musical soirees and sang Kheyal, Thumri and Bengali Modern songs on All India Radio. It appeared that a supremely creative talent from the depths of the bottomless sea of music had finally risen. He created numerous Hit Bengali Songs. Today, in the midst of a much-transformed world of globalization and easy and instant gratifications, the songs he sang like Jeno Kichhu Mone Korona, Tomar bhubane phooler mela and Oi Je Aakasher Gaye and numerous other unforgettable melodies bring a refreshingly gentle strain from the world of a not-so-distant past and stir our souls. This compilation contains such beautiful tracks. It has been a long time that Akhil Bandhu Ghosh has left us. But his memorable songs through compilations like this bring him alive again and again.

You Bet Your Life: Secret Word - Sky / Window / Dust
Julius Henry Groucho Marx (October 2, 1890 -- August 19, 1977) was an American comedian and film and television star. He is known as a master of quick wit and widely considered one of the best comedians of the modern era. His rapid-fire, often impromptu delivery of innuendo-laden patter earned him many admirers and imitators. He made 13 feature films with his siblings the Marx Brothers, of whom he was the third-born. He also had a successful solo career, most notably as the host of the radio and television game show You Bet Your Life. His distinctive appearance, carried over from his days in vaudeville, included quirks such as an exaggerated stooped posture, glasses, cigar, and a thick greasepaint mustache and eyebrows. These exaggerated features resulted in the creation of one of the world's most ubiquitous and recognizable novelty disguises, known as Groucho glasses, a one-piece mask consisting of horn-rimmed glasses, large plastic nose, bushy eyebrows and mustache.
Groucho Marx was, and is, the most recognizable and well-known of the Marx Brothers. Groucho-like characters and references have appeared in popular culture both during and after his life, some aimed at audiences who may never have seen a Marx Brothers movie. Groucho's trademark eye glasses, nose, mustache, and cigar have become icons of comedy—glasses with fake noses and mustaches (referred to as Groucho glasses, nose-glasses, and other names) are sold by novelty and costume shops around the world.
Nat Perrin, close friend of Groucho Marx and writer of several Marx Brothers films, inspired John Astin's portrayal of Gomez Addams on the 1960s TV series The Addams Family with similarly thick mustache, eyebrows, sardonic remarks, backward logic, and ever-present cigar (pulled from his breast pocket already lit).
Alan Alda often vamped in the manner of Groucho on M*A*S*H. In one episode, Yankee Doodle Doctor, Hawkeye and Trapper put on a Marx Brothers act at the 4077, with Hawkeye playing Groucho and Trapper playing Harpo. In three other episodes, a character appeared who was named Captain Calvin Spalding (played by Loudon Wainwright III). Groucho's character in Animal Crackers was Captain Geoffrey T. Spaulding.
On many occasions, on the 1970s television sitcom All In The Family, Michael Stivic (Rob Reiner), would briefly imitate Groucho Marx and his mannerisms.
Two albums by British rock band Queen, A Night at the Opera (1975) and A Day at the Races (1976), are named after Marx Brothers films. In March 1977, Groucho invited Queen to visit him in his Los Angeles home; there they performed '39 a capella. A long-running ad campaign for Vlasic Pickles features an animated stork that imitates Groucho's mannerisms and voice. On the famous Hollywood Sign in California, one of the Os is dedicated to Groucho. Alice Cooper contributed over $27,000 to remodel the sign, in memory of his friend.
In 1982, Gabe Kaplan portrayed Marx in the film Groucho, in a one-man stage production. He also imitated Marx occasionally on his previous TV sitcom Welcome Back, Kotter.
Actor Frank Ferrante has performed as Groucho Marx on stage for more than two decades. He continues to tour under rights granted by the Marx family in a one-man show entitled An Evening With Groucho in theaters throughout the United States and Canada with piano accompanist Jim Furmston. In the late 1980s Ferrante starred as Groucho in the off-Broadway and London show Groucho: A Life in Revue penned by Groucho's son Arthur. Ferrante portrayed the comedian from age 15 to 85. The show was later filmed for PBS in 2001. Woody Allen's 1996 musical Everyone Says I Love You, in addition to being named for one of Groucho's signature songs, ends with a Groucho-themed New Year's Eve party in Paris, which some of the stars, including Allen and Goldie Hawn, attend in full Groucho costume. The highlight of the scene is an ensemble song-and-dance performance of Hooray for Captain Spaulding—done entirely in French.
In the last of the Tintin comics, Tintin and the Picaros, a balloon shaped like the face of Groucho could be seen in the Annual Carnival.
In the Italian horror comic Dylan Dog, the protagonist's sidekick is a Groucho impersonator whose character became his permanent personality.
The BBC remade the radio sitcom Flywheel, Shyster and Flywheel, with contemporary actors playing the parts of the original cast. The series was repeated on digital radio station BBC7. Scottish playwright Louise Oliver wrote a play named Waiting For Groucho about Chico and Harpo waiting for Groucho to turn up for the filming of their last project together. This was performed by Glasgow theatre company Rhymes with Purple Productions at the Edinburgh Fringe and in Glasgow and Hamilton in 2007-08. Groucho was played by Scottish actor Frodo McDaniel.
Our Miss Brooks: House Trailer / Friendship / French Sadie Hawkins Day
Our Miss Brooks is an American situation comedy starring Eve Arden as a sardonic high school English teacher. It began as a radio show broadcast from 1948 to 1957. When the show was adapted to television (1952--56), it became one of the medium's earliest hits. In 1956, the sitcom was adapted for big screen in the film of the same name.
Connie (Constance) Brooks (Eve Arden), an English teacher at fictional Madison High School.
Osgood Conklin (Gale Gordon), blustery, gruff, crooked and unsympathetic Madison High principal, a near-constant pain to his faculty and students. (Conklin was played by Joseph Forte in the show's first episode; Gordon succeeded him for the rest of the series' run.) Occasionally Conklin would rig competitions at the school--such as that for prom queen--so that his daughter Harriet would win.
Walter Denton (Richard Crenna, billed at the time as Dick Crenna), a Madison High student, well-intentioned and clumsy, with a nasally high, cracking voice, often driving Miss Brooks (his self-professed favorite teacher) to school in a broken-down jalopy. Miss Brooks' references to her own usually-in-the-shop car became one of the show's running gags.
Philip Boynton (Jeff Chandler on radio, billed sometimes under his birth name Ira Grossel); Robert Rockwell on both radio and television), Madison High biology teacher, the shy and often clueless object of Miss Brooks' affections.
Margaret Davis (Jane Morgan), Miss Brooks' absentminded landlady, whose two trademarks are a cat named Minerva, and a penchant for whipping up exotic and often inedible breakfasts.
Harriet Conklin (Gloria McMillan), Madison High student and daughter of principal Conklin. A sometime love interest for Walter Denton, Harriet was honest and guileless with none of her father's malevolence and dishonesty.
Stretch (Fabian) Snodgrass (Leonard Smith), dull-witted Madison High athletic star and Walter's best friend.
Daisy Enright (Mary Jane Croft), Madison High English teacher, and a scheming professional and romantic rival to Miss Brooks.
Jacques Monet (Gerald Mohr), a French teacher.
Our Miss Brooks was a hit on radio from the outset; within eight months of its launch as a regular series, the show landed several honors, including four for Eve Arden, who won polls in four individual publications of the time. Arden had actually been the third choice to play the title role. Harry Ackerman, West Coast director of programming, wanted Shirley Booth for the part, but as he told historian Gerald Nachman many years later, he realized Booth was too focused on the underpaid downside of public school teaching at the time to have fun with the role.
Lucille Ball was believed to have been the next choice, but she was already committed to My Favorite Husband and didn't audition. Chairman Bill Paley, who was friendly with Arden, persuaded her to audition for the part. With a slightly rewritten audition script--Osgood Conklin, for example, was originally written as a school board president but was now written as the incoming new Madison principal--Arden agreed to give the newly-revamped show a try.
Produced by Larry Berns and written by director Al Lewis, Our Miss Brooks premiered on July 19, 1948. According to radio critic John Crosby, her lines were very feline in dialogue scenes with principal Conklin and would-be boyfriend Boynton, with sharp, witty comebacks. The interplay between the cast--blustery Conklin, nebbishy Denton, accommodating Harriet, absentminded Mrs. Davis, clueless Boynton, scheming Miss Enright--also received positive reviews.
Arden won a radio listeners' poll by Radio Mirror magazine as the top ranking comedienne of 1948-49, receiving her award at the end of an Our Miss Brooks broadcast that March. I'm certainly going to try in the coming months to merit the honor you've bestowed upon me, because I understand that if I win this two years in a row, I get to keep Mr. Boynton, she joked. But she was also a hit with the critics; a winter 1949 poll of newspaper and magazine radio editors taken by Motion Picture Daily named her the year's best radio comedienne.
For its entire radio life, the show was sponsored by Colgate-Palmolive-Peet, promoting Palmolive soap, Lustre Creme shampoo and Toni hair care products. The radio series continued until 1957, a year after its television life ended.
