Yellow-eyed Penguins, Roaring Bay, Kaka Point, New Zealand, February 2012

We were able to video two penguins returning from fishing in the sea all day. They swim about 7-10 miles out to sea every day to fish. At Roaring bay there is a hut (on the hill looking down to the beach) that you get to hide in while waiting to spot them returning at dusk. I have to say it was pouring rain, very windy and very cold the evening we ended up here. By the time we left we were soaked to the skin but it was well worth it. By the way the penguin poops right after: Is she looking?

Second last day in New Zealand! We spent the day pretty much heading up north to Kaka Point where we were going to spend the night. When we got there we realised it didn't really facilitate for our needs so we decided to spend an extra hour driving up to Dunedin. Before we left we went to Nugget Point which was amazing and one of my favourite places in New Zealand.
