Rogue River Rafting Day Trips
Rafting the Rogue River will never be the same as you take to the high seas with Rogue Wilderness Adventures.
The Rogue River in southwestern Oregon in the United States flows about 215 miles in a generally westward direction from the Cascade Range to the Pacific Ocean. Known for its salmon runs, whitewater rafting, and rugged scenery, it was one of the original eight rivers named in the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act of 1968. Beginning near Crater Lake, which occupies the caldera left by the explosive volcanic eruption of Mount Mazama, the river flows through the geologically young High Cascades and the older Western Cascades, another volcanic province. Further west, the river passes through multiple exotic terranes of the more ancient Klamath Mountains. In the Kalmiopsis Wilderness section of the Rogue basin are some of the world's best examples of rocks that form the Earth's mantle. Near the mouth of the river, the only dinosaur fragments ever discovered in Oregon were found in the Otter Point Formation, along the coast of Curry County.

Illinois 25k $8 Bridge to Lower Oak Flat
We put on the Illinois on January 20th, 2019 at around 25000 cfs just below the $8 Mountain Bridge between Selma and Cave Junction. We then floated approximately 45 miles to Lower Oak Flat near Agness, OR. From my experience the flow seemed easier than the last time we had run it at around 20000 cfs. The features seemed flushier, and there were less retentive holes. We also each agreed that it could have been just that it was our second time running the Illinois at flows around or above 20k. Either way, it was a good time, and I'd definitely do it again. Rapids of consequence were Illinois Falls, Kelsey's Hole, Pinch Point, Little Green Wall, and Rapid #104.

Tribute to the Totogatic River
With its watershed nestled between the Namekagon and St. Croix Rivers, Totogatic is just as scenic and even more wild.
- Herbert Wagner
A wild gem ... provides rich habitat for diverse aquatic and terrestrial species, has excellent water quality, beautiful scenery, and great fishing and paddling opportunities.
- Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources
One of only five rivers designated by the state of Wisconsin as Wild.
The biggest stream that flows into the clean, beloved, nationally-designated Wild & Scenic Namekagon River.
It runs for 80 miles through rock and sand and peat, flowing into the Namekagon four miles above the Namekagon's confluence with the St. Croix near Danbury, WI.
Crossing under the Totogatic about five miles northeast of Minong, WI, is Enbridge Energy's Line 61 oil pipeline.
By next year, the company plans to pump 50 million gallons of mostly tar sands crude through the pipeline to refineries in Illinois.
That is about 2 million gallons of oil per hour passing under the Totogatic, as well as the St. Croix, Namekagon, and Eau Claire Rivers.
The Totagatic River is home to over 23 species of greatest conservation need and has been identified as a conservation priority in Wisconsin’s Wildlife Action Plan and Land Legacy Report.

Jefferson State Farms
Deep in the forested mountains of Southern Oregon, there is a beauty and peace unlike anywhere else in the country. The Pacific Crest Trail carves it’s way through our backyards, into countless sub-alpine meadows filled with wildlife and wildflowers. This is where we call home. The Rogue Valley lies between two National forests, with the Rogue river running steady like a lifeline. The rain falls hard in the winter, the sun shines strong in the summer, and together they create a perfect, fertile valley for agriculture. Our local network of growers and farmers is extensive and as we look forward into the future, we foresee cannabis being no different. Hiking, fishing, river rafting, hot-springing; you name it, we’re doing it. The community of Southern Oregon is independent and diverse, yet we all seem to be unified by a love for our beautiful landscape.
