Crossing the Columbia River Bar: Graveyard of the Pacific
Crossing the Columbia River Bar: Graveyard of the Pacific
Columbia River Bar:
From Wiki: The Columbia Bar, also frequently called the Columbia River Bar, is a system of bars and shoals at the mouth of the Columbia River spanning the U.S. states of Oregon and Washington. The bar is about 3 miles (5 km) wide and 6 miles (10 km) long.
The bar is where the river's current dissipates into the Pacific Ocean, often as large standing waves. The waves are partially caused by the deposition of sediment as the river slows, as well as mixing with ocean waves. The waves, wind, and current are hazardous for vessels of all sizes. The Columbia current varies from 4 to 7 knots westward, and therefore into the predominantly westerly winds and ocean swells, creating significant surface conditions. Unlike other major rivers, the current is focused like a fire hose without the benefit of a river delta. Conditions can change from calm to life-threatening in as little as five minutes due to changes of direction of wind and ocean swell. Since 1792, approximately 2,000 large ships have sunk in and around the Columbia Bar, and because of the danger and the numerous shipwrecks the mouth of the Columbia River acquired a reputation worldwide as the Graveyard of the Pacific.

The Wreck or the Peter Iredale:
Peter Iredale was a four-masted steel barque sailing vessel that ran ashore October 25, 1906, on the Oregon coast en route to the Columbia River. She was abandoned on Clatsop Spit near Fort Stevens in Warrenton about four miles (6 km) south of the Columbia River channel. Wreckage is still visible, making it a popular tourist attraction as one of the most accessible shipwrecks of the Graveyard of the Pcific.

Grant's Getaways: Most Dangerous Bar
It's one of the most dangerous places on the planet and the Columbia River Bar is often termed the Graveyard of the Pacific. Here, the wind, weather and ocean conditions can change in a heartbeat and it becomes a place where mistakes can mean disaster. In nearby Astoria, visitors gain a new respect for the dangerous bar indoors on a visit to the Columbia River Maritime Museum. The center tells many stories that surround the place where the mighty Columbia meets the sea; historic tales of development following Lewis and Clark's exploration -- the transport of goods, the salmon fishing industries, the timber mill industries, the US Coast Guard -- Oregon history is are all here and set against the dramatic backdrop of the Columbia River.

8:57 Orin Wallace wrote me a jaywalking ticket. You see him on the front page of the newspaper.
I found it interesting how these newspaper publishers are bothered by the downtown cameras. They think those security cameras are too much of an invasion on their privacy. I would have never expected to hear that from them. Do they even have any passion left for the media? I would argue that the security cameras are fine and the bigger concern is that police suppress cameras too much instead.
Do not interfere in the government of Coquille, or they will not hesitate to send their soldiers marching after you in assault formation ready to use attrition to drive you out of their jurisdiction.

A powerful low pressure system is smashing into the northwestern United States, bringing with it high winds, and rainfall. The high wind speeds had the Pacific ocean along the Washington and Oregon coasts churning with white water and big waves. People braved the high winds and rainfall to document footage of the waves from an overlook on a high cliff. The winds also downed trees.

Freddie Gray - Baltimore Rough Ride Victim - Infowars News 5/2
Sources are saying that Freddie Gray died as a result of slamming his head inside the police van he was being transported in. The medical examiner says the wound matched the bolt in the area of the van Gray was held in. The autopsy reveals that there is no evidence that Gray hit his head on his own and also, that the injuries gray sustained were exactly like those of someone that had been in a major car accident. It appears Gray may have been subjected to the police brutality tactic known as a 'Rough Ride'.
In a rough ride, suspects are usually handcuffed in the back of the vehicle without being secured by a seatbelt. They are then assaulted by the erratic driving of the police van driver. One sharp turn or sudden stop can do as much or more abuse than an actual physical assault. The abused prisoner is then faced with a 'he said she said' situation.
Freddie Gray died from a massive spinal injury on April 19, 2015. 30 detectives have been assigned to the case since. Still there are no definitive answers. Baltimore PD has now turned the investigation over to the Baltimore State's Attorney Office.
Meanwhile protests are raging across the country there have been demonstrations in Philadelphia,Boston,Chicago,Denver,Houston,Minneapolis,New York,Ferguson,Missouri. More are underway in Seattle,Portland, Oregon and Oakland, California.
It may appear that justice is being served in Baltimore . Peeking under the table laid out for the American populace reveals a full on staging of United Nations Intervention.
