LGBT Kings & Queen of Europe
Please consider supporting me at and help me make more fascinating videos!
Throughout human history there have always been men who loved men and women who loved women. But if you happened to be a monarch, you had considerably more power to do as you pleased with whomever you desired. It has always been good to be the king. Here are the stories of 7 Kings and 1 Queen of Europe. As rulers, some where good, some bad and some great. But all were human and all loved and lusted after members of their own sex.

* The goal of our efforts is to stop the suffering of bulls, other bovines or horses in bullfights and all bullfight related abusive events. If we stop their suffering, we also stop our suffering.

Course de vache cocardiere - 2008 - Mademoiselle
DISCLAIMER: No animals were harmed during the making of this video. I shot this during the Fete Votive in Vauvert, France, in August 2008. Course Camarguaise is a non-violent form of bullfighting. The objective is to snatch tiny rosettes from between the horns of the bull, or in this particular case the cow. In the end, the animals leave the arena alive and well. As you can see in this video, none of the participants (raseteurs) even succeed in getting close to the animal, because this particular cow, called Mademoiselle, is just too ferocious for them.

la torture, ça s'apprend? TORTURE, CAN IT BE LEARNED?
WARNING - CONTAINS DISTURBING IMAGES OF BULLFIGHTS
Originally broadcast on TV7 Provence in 2009 and now with English subtitles, this film features a debate between anti-corrida activists and a psychologist on the effects on children of being involved in this cruel activity as either spectators or participants in bullfighting schools. The highly glamourised, but yet pointless and sadistic violence of the corrida creates pernicious effects on young people at a time when they are developing their moral values, which this video aims to highlight.
I made these subtitles myself, with the permission of the director and other participants in the film - feel free to comment!

SUMMARY
=======
Christian monasticism is the devotional practice of individuals who live ascetic and typically cloistered lives that are dedicated to Christian worship. It began to develop early in the history of the Christian Church, modeled upon scriptural examples and ideals, including those in the Old Testament, but not mandated as an institution in the scriptures. It has come to be regulated by religious rules (e.g. the Rule of Saint Augustine, Anthony the Great, St Pachomius, the Rule of St Basil, the Rule of St Benedict,) and, in modern times, the Canon law of the respective Christian denominations that have forms of monastic living. Those living the monastic life are known by the generic terms monks (men) and nuns (women). The word monk originated from the Greek monachos monk, itself from monos meaning alone.Monks did not live in monasteries at first, rather, they began by living alone, as the word monos might suggest. As more people took on the lives of monks, living alone in the wilderness, they started to come together and model themselves after the original monks nearby. Quickly, the monks formed communities to further their ability to observe an ascetic life. According to Christianity historian Robert Louis Wilken, By creating an alternate social structure within the Church they laid the foundations for one of the most enduring Christian institutions . . . Monastics generally dwell in a monastery, whether they live there in community (cenobites), or in seclusion (recluses).

SUMMARY
=======
York is a historic walled city in North Yorkshire, England. At the confluence of the River Ouse and Foss, it is the traditional county town of the historic county of Yorkshire. York Minster and a variety of cultural and sporting activities make it a popular tourist destination.
The city was founded by the Romans as Eboracum in 71 AD. It became the capital of the Roman province of Britannia Inferior, and later of the kingdoms of Northumbria and Jórvík. In the Middle Ages, York grew as a major wool trading centre and became the capital of the northern ecclesiastical province of the Church of England, a role it has retained.In the 19th century, York became a hub of the railway network and a confectionery manufacturing centre. The economy of York is now dominated by services. The University of York and National Health Service are major employers, whilst tourism has become an important element of the local economy.
The City of York local government district includes rural areas beyond the old city boundaries. In 2011, it had a population of 198,051.
