Hot Air Balloon rides in Cappadocia.
Tuesday(22-9-2015):- 20 tourists of different nationalities in a Hot Air Balloon Basket along with the pilot Mr Murat .The company Saray Balloons are the only hot air balloon company in Turkey to be a officially certified company of the Turkish Aeronautical association(THK).After breakfast before daylight at 0545 hrs we boarded our van and headed to the open field and after inflation of our balloon boarded the same.Akin to aircraft's all balloon flights are also dependent on weather and wind conditions on that particular day.Hot air balloon rides for the previous 2 days were cancelled due to bad weather and hence besides paying the exorbitant balloon fee ride a tourist has to also be lucky to experience a hot air balloon flight.Its a totally house-full business and many tourists return back home disappointed if their balloon rides get cancelled due to bad weather.Deaths and serious accidents have occurred as recently as June 2015 during balloon flights in Cappadocia and hence the strict control on flying permits and air traffic regulation.The balloon rides are only early in the morning at the break of dawn.Here we are on the balloon at its highest point 800 meters above ground and observing another balloon landing back on the ground as also the limestone cave topography of the region.If touring Turkey don't miss the World famous tourist wonder of the World, THE CAPPADOCIA BALLOON RIDE Read my blog for better understanding :- :- Seafarer/Blogger/Traveler Rudolph.A.Furtado

Tuesday(22-9-2015) :- The initial dscent of altitude after take-off from ground.20 tourists of different nationalities in a Hot Air Balloon Basket along with the pilot Mr Murat enjoying a balloon ride across the Cappadocia landscape .The company Saray Balloons are the only hot air balloon company in Turkey to be a officially certified company of the Turkish Aeronautical association(THK).After breakfast we took off from a open ground at 0700 hrs and after achieving 800 meters of height descended some few hundred meters and again gained height to the maximum of 800 meters.We finally landed on ground at 0815 hrs, a very smooth landing akin to a aircraft.After landing there was a Champagne celebration and certificates were awarded to all the tourists on the balloon ride.Akin to aircraft's all balloon flights are also dependent on weather and wind conditions on that particular day.Hot air balloon rides for the previous 2 days were cancelled due to bad weather and hence besides paying the exorbitant balloon fee ride a tourist has to also be lucky to experience a hot air balloon flight.Its a totally house-full business and many tourists return back home disappointed if their balloon rides get cancelled due to bad weather.Deaths and serious accidents have occured as recently as June 2015 during balloon flights in Cappadocia and hence the strict control on flying permits and air traffic regulation.The balloon rides are only early in the morning at the break of dawn and its a moonscape view of Cappadocia's unique limestone caves and Fairy Chimneys from these hot air balloons.The ignition of of the gas burner that is intermittently ignited by the pilot to either ascend or control the flight path is briefly visible in the video..If touring Turkey don't miss the World famous tourist wonder of the World, THE CAPPADOCIA BALLOON RIDE.
