Sariska Tiger Reserve is located in Alwar District of Rajasthan State of India , Sariska National Park & Tiger Reserve is surrounded by Aravali hills which are oldest mountain series of India , Safari entry gate of Sariska Tiger Reserve is situated 200 Kms away from Delhi a, Sariska became wildlife sanctuary in year 1955 and became Tiger reserve in later in year 1978, Sariska National Park & Tiger Reserve is spread in area of 866 Square Kilometeres.
Sariska Tiger Reserve has rich flora & Fauna and as name suggests Sariska is famous for Royal Bengal Tiger, There were many tigers in Sariska but there was a time Sariska was not having a single Tiger , Later government shifted few tigers from Ranthambore National Park and now Tigers are breeding again at Sariska Tiger Reserve., Other attractions of Sariska National Park are Leopard, Caracal, Jungle Cat, Striped Hyena, Chital ( Spotted Deer ) Golden Jackal, Sambar Deer, Chinkara, Blue Bull, Four Horned antelope, Hare, Wild Boar, Langur(Ape) and plenty of birds and reptiles etc.

Sariska Palace hotel beyond Alwar, near Sariska Tiger Reserve
The Sariska Palace was built in 19th century by the Maharaja of Alwar. The palace was converted into forest reserve in the year 1955 and was made a national park in the year 1982, today it consists of the royal ambience it used to have earlier.
Sariska Palace is nuzzled amongst the Arravalli ranges and spread in about 100 acres. It has a run of 3 hours from Delhi, approx one hour from Jaipur and 3 and a half hour from Agra. This heritage hotel was once popular as hunting spot for Maharajas and today it is a lavishing hotel comprising of imperial French architecture, modern amenities to provide its patrons with the royal touch.

When another jeep came, the tiger moved from its resting place, and walked down to the path. We saw it hiding in the bushes by the road, and backed the jeep so that we could see it cross the road. Here is the tiger walking down the path...This tiger sighting happened on 27th December 2013.

1st Film on Relocated TIGERS' Behavior: Sariska: A Reserve Reborn
The story of the Sariska National Park in Alwar, Rajasthan, which lost all its tigers to rampant poaching. Tigers were then reintroduced to the reserve from the Ranthambhor National Park. The film explores the biodiversity of the forest and also films, for the first time, the behavior of the relocated tigers. The film proved that the relocation had indeed been successful since the relocated tigers are seen adapting well in the new environment. This was later confirmed by the news of birth of new cubs in Sariska.

Sariska National Park has slightly different Fauna as Salar, Dhok tree, Kadaya, Gol, Dhak, Ber, Bargad ( Banyan ) Khair, Arjun, Khajoor, Gugal, Bamboo etc, Many other shrubs like Adusta, Kair, Jhar , Ber etc.
Sariska Tiger Reserve contains historical places inside as Kankarwadi fort, built by kind Jai Singh second, Kankarwadi fort is located in centre of Sariska Tiger Reserve, Mughel emperor Aurangzeb imprisoned his brother Dara Shikoh at Kankarwadi fort in struggle for succession of the throne, Famous temple of lord Hanuman is situated at Pandupol which is related to Pandavas, Entry to Pandupole is free on Saturdays and Tuesday round the year.
Sariska Tiger Reserve is one of nearest tiger reserve to Delhi As other Tiger Reserve is Rajaji Tiger Reserve which is also located at same distance from Delhi , Sariska Tiger Reserve has beautiful location and Aravali hills and Kankarwadi Fort makes it more beautiful , Access road to Sariska is in very good condition now and one can reach easily from Delhi via Delhi Dharuhera, Alwar, Sariska .
Sariska Tiger Reserve Safari Charges:
Entry of private vehicles is not allowed inside of Sariska Tiger Reserve , open Gypsy safari charges are INR 3900 for Indians where 6 people can enjoy 3 hrs gypsy safari , If some one wants to visit Kankarwadi Fort too which is located inside Sariska Tiger Reserve then Rs. 400 Rs, charges are extra.
Though entry to Sariska Tiger Reserve is open to private vehicles on Tuesday & Satarday only , As famous & ancient temple of Lord Hanuman [ Pandupole] is located in side of Sariska tiger Reserve . But private vehicles can not leave main road to Pandupole and can not enter off roads made for open gypsy safaries.
