Go Aquatic Leisure Scuba Diving Trip Kota Kinabalu Sabah North Borneo Malaysia
This video tells story of leisure scuba diving trip at Kota Kinabalu marine park lead by 3 of Go Aquatic's full time professional scuba divers on 12 November 2017 (Alwee, Zarul, Lily). At the time video was being recorded they explored 2 dive sites - Agill's Reef and Edgell Patches. Go Aquatic provides 3 dives in a day during our daily leisure scuba diving trips.
The trip to Agill's Reef dive sites took about 15 minutes from Jesselton Point terminal on board the Aquaman, Go Aquatic's catamaran scuba diving boat. Trip to Edgell Patches is about 10 minutes from Sapi island.
We did not add background music so you can see how it looks like down there with other scuba divers. Video recorded by Lily, our PADI Divemaster joined by Zarul (PADI Divemaster) and Alwee (PADI Instructor).
What you will see in Agill's Reef Dive Site?
Most leisure scuba divers will see sea fans, plenty of plate corals, sponges, several types of nudibranchs, lobster, tuna, morays, fusiliers and if you are lucky you will stumble upon some grey reef sharks. Agill's Reef is located behind Gaya island, the biggest island in Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park at Kota Kinabalu. The depth is about 12 meters to 24 meters to the deepest sea level. Most of Go Aquatic's scuba divers has been diving here many times. Our scuba divers knew the area very well.
What you will see in Edgell Patches Dive Site?
Edgell Patches known as heaven among our professional scuba divers because this dive site is rich with so many beautiful marine wildlife. During the previous years several local scuba divers spotted a wild whale sharks here (during early March until end of April) and blue ring octopus. We only bring experienced scuba divers here because the area is very challenging for beginners and novice scuba divers. The lowest depth in Edgell Patches is 30 meters. Our boat caption said the are has two parts - Edgell South and Edgell North.

UNCHARTED DIVE PARADISE IN SABAH - SeaTango's Ballroom | Amazing Borneo
Amazing Borneo's First Open Day Event on 12th May 2018 saw the reveal of SeaTango's Ballrom, a new dive site in Sabah!
Just 40 minutes from Kota Kinabalu by boat, SeaTango’s Ballroom is a secluded, dive-centric location discovered by our team of dive experts. It boasts to be the heaven of the sea, embellished with healthy coral reefs and diverse aquatic wildlife.
With up to 30 metres of visibility, feast your eyes on magnificent displays of dense corals in a plethora of colours which might reveal a Sea Anemone or two. If you’re lucky, these waters may churn with Marble and Eagle Rays alongside Ribbontail Stingrays.
Occupants sharing real estates with these rays are Golden Trevallies, Leopard Eels, and Mantis Shrimps. Be sure to look closely into every nook, cranny, and crevice as Spiny Lobsters enjoy the solitude of coral “caves”.
All dives to SeaTango's Ballroom are inclusive of 3 Dive Sessions and BBQ Lunch on board our vibrant, double deck catamaran!

Dive On KM Kuraman Wreck TARP Sabah Borneo
The recent sinking of KM Kuraman a 103ft patrol craft by Downbelow Marine & Wildlife for the local authorities has given the dive sites of TARP a boost.
The former Malaysian Navy & Maritim Malaysia ship has been sunk for only a couple of weeks but she is already providing a wonderful new home to many marine species.
Here is a short film of yesterdays staff training dive to give you an idea of what to expect on future dives on KM Kuraman :)
Big thanks to the Ministry of Tourism, Maritim Malaysia & Sabah Parks for making this happen!
To arrange dives pls contact info@downbelowadventures.com & we will be pleased to assist!

Mabul Island in Borneo supplied some of the best diving in the world for a really cheap budget - the best that we had ever experienced with endless turtles and marine life and amazing colourful corals. This tiny quiet beautiful island was paradise and we definitely want to return very soon in the future! We stayed with Sphere Divers and it was very cheap and very easy going, with amazing professional staff to tell us about the island and its history and spot out all the marine life and turtles.

Scuba Diving in Sipadan Paradise - One minute clip with Baki Zainal
Ready to scuba diving Is the Celebes Sea in Sipadan? Here are the scuba diving destinations in paradise, scuba diving shop and scuba diving price. Learn to scuba diving as we share advice on scuba diving gear, scuba diving training, scuba diving safety, scuba diving popular destinations, scuba diving certification courses, and basic scuba diving tips from open water diver. The island of Sipadan is the destination of the BEST scuba diving in Borneo, and some said sipadan is the best in the world. Sipadan is Malaysia's only oceanic island, 600 meters from the sea floor. It is located in the Sulawesi Sea on the east coast of Sabah, Malaysia. It was formed from living corals that grow on top of an extinct volcanic cone that took thousands of years to develop. Sipadan is a tiny, remote island & world-renowned destination for diving amid turtles, sharks, barracuda & more. The late and famous oceanographer Jacques Cousteau once described Sipadan as a flawless piece of art, and divers around the world voted to rank her as one of the top five diving destinations in the world.
Tawau Airport is the closest airport to Sipadan, Mabul and Kapalai. Most tourists choose to take a plane, or take a bus, van or taxi from northern Sabah towns like Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan, Sukau and Lahad Datu to Tawau Airport. Frequent flights (relatively cheap) arrive at Tawau from Kota Kinabalu Airport (50 minutes) or Kuala Lumpur (2.45 hours)
