12 of the Hottest Clubs, Bars and Beach Shacks in Goa
Where to Party in Goa......
Heading to Goa and wondering where to party? Most of the action takes place in north Goa. Baga beach is well known for its commercial nightlife on Tito's Lane (especially the infamous Club Tito and Cafe Mambo). However, venture further afield and you'll find some of the hottest clubs, beach shacks, and bars in Goa. Do note that some places are only really happening on certain days when they hold a party, so do check what's happening and when.

Hill Top
If you're after a classic Goa psychedelic trance party, Hill Top is where you'll find it. This iconic open-air venue has been in business since the hippie heydays of the 1970s. It has evolved from small restaurant into a mecca for psy trance that's hosted artists from around the world. A grove of neon palm trees and groovy art installations give it an appropriately trippy vibe. Parties happen every Sunday from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m., as well as on other special occasions such as New Year's Eve. Plan to be there for the annual Hill Top Festival, happening from February 9-11, 2018.
Location: Vagator hill.
Open: October to April. Sometimes parties are held on occasion during the monsoon season as well.
Music: Psychedelic trance.

Chronicle
The classy Chronicle opened in December 2013 and not surprisingly, quickly established itself as one of the coolest places in Goa. Part Italian fine-dining restaurant and part cocktail bar with a huge open-air dance floor, Chronicle is spread over five levels right by the beach. Its creative cocktail menu was crafted by a London mixologist. Parties, featuring top DJs and musicians from around the world, start at 4-5 p.m. (as do the happy hours).
Location: Little Vagator beach.
Open: November to May.
Music: Deep house, techno, and trance.

Thalassa
This famous Greek fine-dining restaurant also throws fabulous parties every night of the week, with live dance performances and DJs. Its apt name Thalassa means sea, and the property sure offers a breathtaking sunset view of it from its open-air cliff setting. If you are there to party, stay in one of the cute beach huts that they have.
Location: Little Vagator cliff.
Open: October to May.
Music: Varied.

Club Cubana
Club Cubana, with its hilltop location, is referred to as the Nightclub in the Sky. This very popular commercial club has been around for more than a decade and is dominated by the swimming pool and Jacuzzi in its center. The venue accommodates thousands of people and the party goes on until dawn. It has different rooms with different genres of music. Expect to pay 2,000 rupees entry for couples and 1,500 rupees for single guys. The price includes unlimited alcoholic drinks (cheap spirits only). Ladies' Night on Wednesdays (free drinks) and Models' Night on Saturdays are two of the biggest events there.
Location: Arpora hills.
Open: October to April.
Music: House, hip hop, and R&B.

Nyex Beach Club launched in early 2015 and replaces the defunct Club Paradiso. The sprawling club is spread over three levels -- an indoor club on the top floor, VIP lounge on the middle floor, and outdoor lounge deck with stage on the bottom floor. Its cliff-side location provides an unforgettable 180 degree view of the ocean and also offers beach access. Special events, music festivals, and sundowner parties are often held there. A destination for late-night party people, it remains open until 4 a.m.
Location: Anjuna cliff.
Open: All year round.
Music: Electronic.

Curlies and Shiva Valley
Undoubtedly Goa's most legendary beach shack, Curlies was one of the first shacks in the state. It used to be the place to be at sundown after the famous Wednesday Anjuna flea market, although it's mellowed greatly these days. The big party nights there are Mondays and Thursdays. Also check out Shiva Valley next to Curlies, which is renowned for its Tuesday trance parties starting from 5 p.m. Want to stay in the area? The Prison Hostel dedicates itself to partying.
Location: Anjuna beach.
Open: All year round.
Music: Psychedelic trance and techno.

Goan Fish Thali @ Anand SEAFOOD Restaurant GOA
Excellent seafood with authentic Goan flavor. Great thali's as well. Not sure about vegetarian options. Nice seating options inside and outside, and also an AC section. Chilled atmosphere, and prompt service as well. Reasonable rates, make it a Must Do when you are around that side of town. If you visit during peak meal times expect a wait even with the several tables they have. Usually always packed!

ELECTRIC PULSE ROCK BAND AT ANJUNA FLEA MARKET, GOA: Sea Breeze Bar.. #goaasitis
ABOUT ELECTRIC PULSE BAND:
Everybody says that they are unique, everyone claims to be different, they want to be different and then there’s Electric Pulse! Here is a band who begs to differ, a band whose only difference, is that they claim to NOT be different! Electric pulse is true to the origins of Hard Rock and that is how they are different from all the other bands of their time.
At a time when everyone else strives to discover a new sound, when everyone else is letting go of music as it was, Electric Pulse has taken a pause, taken a few steps back and moved away from the rest of the crowd. They’ve gone back to the real world of Rock and Roll, the actual way it is supposed to be played, no backing tracks, just pure raw rock music.
In a place where a huge number of people think of Rock and Roll as “noise”, Electric Pulse has exploded onto the Indian music scene with its hybrid of Rock and Roll and Metal. They have carved a niche for themselves by choosing to go against the flow and not with it. There are bands playing softer music and there are bands that play the much harder music, Electric Pulse has somehow found a “medium”. The point of their music is to be a bridge between people who listen to softer genres of music and those that listen to heavy rock music. Even though they use a lot of distortion, they make sure they implement quality lyrics into their music. No harsh topics and no “gory” stuff, well, maybe just bits of it, so that people get a preview of what’s on the heavier side. While Electric Pulse is a hard rock band, they are also open and approachable to everyone and that is why they incorporate suitable melody lines into the music. The structure of their songs is “built to be liked”, and this is what they say, in their own words “comes naturally to us”.
But ultimately it’s not just about the past; it’s about what these four men can do together for the future. All the possibilities exist and they are not about to miss any of them.
Electric Pulse’s mainstream rock sound is heavily influenced by the likes of Black Sabbath, Rush, Rainbow, Thin Lizzy, Metallica, Megadeth and many more. They have eventually developed their own distinct sound by blending the Softer edge of Rock music with Heavy Metal’s brute force.
Based in Goa, Electric Pulse is made up of the cream of Rock and Roll musicians from around the country. Ashyar Balsara on lead guitar, Anirban Halder on vocals & guitar, Richard Carrasco who is probably one of the best bass guitarists to have emerged from Goa during the last few years and the volatile Jonathan Dias on the drums.
Electric Pulse originated in the middle of 2012. Their time together has been very fruitful as their hectic live performance schedule has enabled them to constantly improve their co-ordination and communication to get a tighter sound ; their music has progressed in a great way and by the end of 2014 they began preparing their first album. Today they have a lot more experience, their stage presence is insanely captivating, their understanding of each other on stage has come a long way from three years ago and the coordination is so perfectly orchestrated that you know there’s more of a single sound rather than four individual people playing up on stage.

ABOUT SEA BREEZE BAR:
Sea Breeze Restaurant is the first to be in the heart of Flea market. This is a family restaurant from father to son and now to grandson. Mr. Caitan Fernandes , owner of the restaurant started by serving tea, toast and fried eggs on two table with a bench.
On a sunny afternoon two customers walked in. sitting on the bench asked Mr. Caitan, “what do you have?” Mr. Caitan said “ tea, toast and fried eggs.” Customers asked “anything else please?” Mr. Caitan had to say no, but he did not want to say no. so he said yes there is fish-curry-rice.
The customers said they would like to try some.
This fish-curry-rice was prepared for their personal lunch by Mr. Caitan’s wife, which Mr. Caitan served the customers with shivering hands but to his surprise they enjoyed and loved the meal.Hence he added fish-curry-rice to his menu which his wife till today cooks for the customers and takes care of the ingredients department of the Sea Breeze Restaurant.
Later Mr. Caitan’s son, Mr. Francis Fernandes learned Indian and Chinese Cuisine.
Having just Goan food on the menu was not enough to satisfy the customers so Mr. Francis and his wife Celina added Indian and Chinese cuisine to the menu which they prepare by themselves.

Best Places to eat in Goa | Martins Corner, The Cape Goa, Thalassa, Curlie's, Gunpowder |
This video is about the best places to eat in Goa, completely based upon my personal experience there.
5) Gun Powder: Located on the Anjuna-Mapusa Road, this restaurant in Goa serves extremely delicious South Indian Cuisine and mostly Malyali. No, You wont find Idli and Dosa here. Based upon our personal experience, one must try the Chili Pork Ribs here along with the Fish Gassi with Steamed rice. One may also try the Malabari Parotta with a curry or chutney of your own choice. They have a garden siting arrangement during the tourist season rest its the small dining area of the restaurant where prior booking is advised.
4) Curlie's Located at the Anjuna Beach, its one of the most popular restaurants/shacks of Goa. The view of the sea from here is amazing, Drinks here are good. Food is okay, nothing extraordinary. Get a table on the deck for a wonderful time.
3) Thalassa: Thalassa at the Ozran Beach in North Goa is a Greek Taverna. Based upon the minimalist color theme of White and Blue, Thalassa is a slice of Santorini in Goa.What I liked the most about this particular restaurant is the sophistication, the magnificent view of the blue Arabian Sea and the Peach Crush that we had ordered. They mostly serve Greek and Mediterranean food which are delicious. Try It.
2) The Cape Goa: Its a restaurant near the Cabo De Rama Fort in South Goa. We chanced upon this place with hungry stomach while we were visiting the Cabo De Rama Fort. You wont find much details about this place on the internet, so let me share my first hand experience with you.
The restaurant is a part of a resort and offers an excellent view of the sea. The food is Good, the ambiance is pretty. Like all Goan restaurants, they also have a fully operational bar. I'd advise you to carry cash as the network availability fluctuates and card payment is a problem there.
1) Martin's Corner: Located in Betalbatim of South Goa, this place is very popular among celebrities and normal tourists alike. The food is amazing here. They serve a variety of sea food and you also get an option to choose the crabs and squids by yourself. One must try the Pork Chops, Fish Steak along with the King Crabs which hapens to be Sachin's favourite too.
That's my pick of the top 5 places to eat in Goa. If you've liked any other then please mention it in the comment section below.

Anjuna Beach Goa India
I really enjoyed my stay in Anjuna Goa. It is one of the best places to stay in India. The beach is good for people of all ages and there are some nice restaurants.
The ARJUN VILLA Guest House where I stayed was excellent, very clean comfortable rooms with flat screen TV that get many English channels. The owners Joan and Godfrey are friendly and welcoming also their dog Spark. If you're going to Anjuna you must see the Arjun Villa. email arjunvilla@yahoo.com or call 0091 0832 2274590. I loved it there. Anjuna and Palolim are my two favorite places in Goa.
