Our Lake; It is a paradise of natural beauties and adds a different atmosphere to the city with its greenery and historical caves and rock houses close to the lake.
Our lake, located on the Seben Road route of Bolu, is only 22 km from Gölcük, which is important for the tourism of our country and filled with the pollution and noise of metropolitan cities.
We are waiting for you to our Seben Lake which is the meeting point of green and blue, which will make us forget all the compelling conditions for those who drown in the struggle for survival in our cities such as Ankara and Istanbul.
Seben, Bolu'ya 54 km. uzaklıkta olup doğusunda Kıbrıscık, güneyinde Ankara’nın Nallıhan İlçesi, batısında Mudurnu ve kuzeyinde Bolu ile çevrilidir. İlçemiz Köroğlu dağlarının güney eteklerinde 665 km² yüzölçümüne sahip ve rakımı 625 m. dir. Bu yüzölçümünün ancak 100 km²'lik bölümü tarıma elverişli alandır.29 köyün bağlı olduğu Seben İlçesinin; 4334 ilçe merkezi ve 4537 köy nüfusu vardır.
TARİHİ VE TURİSTİK YERLER :
Kuzeyindeki Kartalkaya Kayak Merkezi, 78 ºC sıcaklığındaki şifalı sularıyla Kesenözü Köyündeki Pavlu kaplıcaları, Firigyalılardan kalma kaya evleri, Çeltikdere Köyü civarındaki kilise kalıntısı, peri bacaları ile en önemlisi yayla turizmi başlıca turizm potansiyelimizdir. Haziran - Temmuz aylarında her köy hacet bayramları düzenlemektedir. Ayrıca her yıl Ekim ayında da Seben Panayırı ve Elma Festivali yapılmaktadır.
Kiraz Dağı çevresinde toplanmış, ortalama 1400 m. yükseklikte olan Seben yaylalarının en önemlileri Gerenözü ve Kızık yaylalarıdır.
Seben Kaya Evleri: Çeltik Deresi, Hocaş, Kaşbıyıklar, Yuva, Solaklar ve Alpağut Köylerinde derin vadiler içinde yükselen kayalar içine oyulmuş 3-4 katlı kaya evlerine rastlanmaktadır.
ULAŞIM
54 km'lik asfalt yolla Bolu'ya ve 42 km'lik asfalt yolla Nallıhan'a bağlıdır. Stabilize yolla Kıbrıscık, Beypazarı ve Mudurnu'ya bağlantısı vardır. Ankara’ya uzaklığı 200 km.dir. İlçeden her gün düzenli olarak Bolu’ya ve belirli günlerde Ankara ile Nallıhan’a yolcu taşımacılığı yapılmaktadır.

Turkey Natural beauty in Bolu attracts tourists
Located between Turkey’s capital and Istanbul, the northern province of Bolu awaits its visitors for the winter break with its natural landmarks, thermal facilities and local cuisine.Bolu, which is famous for its natural beauty as 65 percent of the province is covered with forests, has become a favorite place for both national and international tourists with its thermal, health and winter tourism, and local cuisine.
Kartalkaya, one of Turkey’s most popular ski tourism centers in northwestern region, is also an attractive spot for local and foreign tourists.
Kartalkaya ski resort, with the total area of 70 kilometers (43 miles) and 25 different tracks, lies at Koroglu Mountains in northern Black Sea region of Bolu province.
The resort -- which is located at around 45 kilometers (28 miles) from the city center of Bolu, 186 kilometers (115 miles) from the capital Ankara and 263 kilometers (163 miles) from Istanbul -- is in the summit of Koroglu Mountains, with an elevation of 2,200 meters (7,218 feet).In addition, tourists can participate in the evening entertainment provided by the hotels.
Holiday-goers who enjoyed skiing during the day can also relax and end their day in a spa as there are 30 thermal springs in the Bolu province’s Seben, Goynuk, Mudurnu, Karacasu and Taskesti districts, and the heat of the spring water is between 20 centigrade (68 Fahrenheit) and 90 centigrade degree (194 F).
The thermal facilities of the city, which has a total capacity of 5,300 beds, serve for those who want to stay or want to spend the day in the spa.
Famous for its natural beauties and its colors in all four seasons, Lake Abant, Yedigoller (Seven Lakes) and Golcuk Nature Park are also tourist attractions in the province.Guests staying at hotels around Abant can enjoy their holidays by walking around the lake, hiking and picnicking and riding a carriage.
Famous chefs from Mengen also offer different local tastes to holiday-goers.Different dishes can be found across Bolu which offer an unforgettable taste experience as the region is known for its various food and barbecue.

Bolu ili, Seben ilçe sınırında bulunan Seben Gölü, 2006 yılında Seben Ovasının sulanması amacı ile yapılan göl, daha sonraları çevresi düzenlenerek turizme kazandırılmıştır.
Seben ilçe sınırlarında yer alan Seben Gölü; Karadeniz Bölgesinin en büyük göllerinden birisi olup 833 hektarlık bir alana sahip, 8 metre derinliktedir. Ormanlar içinde, çevresinde çok fazla yayla olan Seben Gölü muhteşem bir güzellik oluşturmaktadır.

Gölköy Baraj Gölü, Bolu'nun 10 km batısında, Bolu ovasını sulama amacıyla Büyüksu ve Mudurnu çayları üzerinde yapılmıştır. Su seviyesi yüksek olduğunda alanı 185 hektarı bulmaktadır. Çevresi ormanlarla kaplı olan gölde çeşitli balık türleri vardır. Şehir merkezine yakınlığı ve ulaşım kolaylığı nedeni ile piknik yapmak ve olta ile balık avlamak isteyenler tarafından yaz aylarında çok rağbet görmektedir.
