瀬波温泉は、新潟県でもっとも人気のある温泉街の一つであり、海岸沿いに温泉旅館や土産物店が建ち並んでいます。
Senami Onsen is one of the most iconic hot spring resort towns in Niigata Prefecture. There are hotels and souvenir shops along the seashore.

瀬波温泉は、その豊富な湯量から別名「熱の湯」と呼ばれ、元湯のある南側山麓の高台では、摂氏90度以上の熱の湯が噴出しています。また、源泉をそのまま引き込んだ無料の足湯もあります。
Spring water spouts at Senami Onsen (hot spring) at a temperature of over 90℃. The steam that rises continuously from the well rig tower located on the top of the hill in Funto Park is a significant sight to behold at Senami Onsen. The area also has many free footbaths, or ashiyu.

Founded in 1904, approximately 110 years ago, Senami Onsen, a hot spring was discovered in a search for kerosense, is famous for its abundant hot water and heat. Moreover, the seaside line overlooking the Sea of Japan is full of hot spring accommodations where you can enjoy the scenery.
Let's indulge ourself in the beautiful scenery with warm hot water. It is a relaxing time in Murakami to heal both mind and body.

In this video, my wife and I were invited to join an event called a Mochi Maki. When a building is being renovated, the owners prepare a Mochi Maki, by inviting local citizens to catch mochi, (rice cakes) and other snacks they throw off the top of the building. This is supposed to bring good luck to the building and promote it to the local neighborhood.

恋人の聖地 夏（村上市瀬波温泉）Lovers' Sanctuary Summer Senami Hot Springs, MurakamiCity, Japan
2008年に「恋人の聖地」として認定された瀬波温泉海岸。モニュメントの「幸せの鐘」を鳴らしたり、記念撮影をしたりと多くのカップルやご夫婦が訪れています。夕暮れにはライトアップされ、「ＬＯＶＥ」の文字が浮かび上がります。
In 2008, a portion of the Senami Onsen beach was recognized as a Lover's Sanctuary. Many couples visit to ring the Bell of Happiness and take commemorative photos. The location is lit up in the evenings, and the word LOVE emerges, glowing in the night air.

Murakami is popularly known as a salmon town, due to its proximity to the Miomote River. This river is the lifeblood of the town, and the source of its salmon. Walking through the downtown area, you can see many restaurants specializing in this cuisine; there are reputed to be over 100 different salmon themed recipes served in Murakami.
