Sea of Cortez - Baja California Sur, Mexico - Diving with Hammerhead Sharks, Sea lions, Whale Sharks
Diving trip in November 2016 to Baja California Sur, Mexico. I had the priviledge to dive with Whale sharks, Hammerhead Sharks, Sea lions and Silky sharks in the Sea of Cortez. Most of the time I spent in Cabo San Lucas and La Paz. All footage was taken with a Sony RX100 M2 in a Nauticam housing.
I was diving with cabo shark dive (cabosharkdive.com), baja connections (bajaconnections.com.mx) and dive in la paz (diveinlapaz.com).

We went to La Paz, Mexico in search of whale sharks (the world's largest fish) and the Northern Hemisphere's largest colony of sea lions. Despite a run into with mighty Montezuma, we found both!

Scuba Diving in the Sea of Cortez, La Paz, Mexico
The 'Aquarium of the World,' as Cousteau once called the Sea of Cortez, is full and varied. Four days diving there aren't enough we found. Playing in a sea lion rookery, diving through wrecks, balls of fish, and snorkeling with whale sharks - the diversity is amazing. This video is a collaboration produced using my photos and videos as well as underwater shots and videos by Dave Rudie and Bob Pooley.

Swim With Whale Sharks in La Paz Mexico - Best Day Trip & Tour From Cabo San Lucas!
You can swim with whale sharks in La Paz Mexico and it is one of the best day trips and tours you can take from Cabo San Lucas. And if you are in La Paz, this has to be one of the best things you can do while in La Paz!
One of the best day trips and excursions from Cabo San Lucas Mexico, is a day trip to swim with the whale sharks in La Paz, Mexico. Swimming with the Whale Sharks is an amazing experience that you can only experience in certain parts of the world. Whale Sharks are the biggest fish in the world and truly gentle giants!
I took a private tour to La Paz for a very reasonable price through a great contact.I can gladly share their contact info with you if you will be visiting Cabo and would like to do something like this. Some of the tour companies can cost upwards of 180 to 250 per person for a trip to La Paz from Cabo, but fortunately, I was able to find a better deal.
Find more info about the whale shark tour on the blog at
La Paz is about a 2 hour drive from Cabo San Lucas. One of the most beautiful beaches I have seen is in La Paz called La Balandra Beach and our private guide also took us there to explore for a few hours.
Next week’s video will show you Playa Balandra in La Paz so stay tuned!!!
