Shibamata is only around 25 minutes by train from Asakusa, making it easy to reach. It also the perfect recommendation for tourists who want to visit the Tokyo Skytree, which can be accessed from Shibamata through the Keisei Line.
The zone surrounding the Taishakuten temple, while retaining its ancient townscape, also features several tourist spots to be enjoyed.

The Shibamata Taishakuten Daikyoji is the symbol of Shibamata. To reach it from Shibamata Station, one only has to walk a short distance through the lively temple approach, in which one can enjoy shopping before visiting the Taishakuten.
Another fun activity is taking a stroll while remembering the places which were featured in movies such as Otoko wa tsurai yo and manga such as KochiKame: Tokyo Beat Cops.

The 200 meter-long temple approach leading to the Taishakuten from Shibamata Station has many old-established stores, and, as a famous tourist spot, is always lively. Enjoy walking through it with a map in your hand, buying the typical kusadango dumplings as souvenirs or looking at the folk handicraft.
