Visiting Japan! Day 11 - SHINJUKU - Shinjuku Station, Omoide Yokocho(Piss Alley), and Golden Gai!
I ran around Shinjuku Station like an idiot and then met with 2 of my friends and went around Piss Alley and Golden Gai!
The donkihoute was closed, but I got a zoro(One Piece) figurine and a Victor Nikiforov(Yuri On Ice) Towel for about 2200 Yen/22 bucks!
I recorded this on July 7th but I crashed as I got home! As I didn't want two videos with the same day, I decided to delay this one! Sorry.
No music again, except for the original of Karma Chameleon from the Drunk Japanese dude! He rocked!

Top 10 Things to DO in Chofu & Tokyo Stadium
Japan Guide - Top 10 things to do in Chofu and Ajinomoto Tokyo Stadium for 2020 Olympics. Tokyo Stadium Chofu Area is host to many sporting events for Tokyo Olympics would not be complete without including this area. This Chofu Guide will show you what things to do in the Chofu Tokyo area as well where to eat in the Chofu area. The Ajinomoto Stadium itself is located close to Tobitakyu station, but it's only a 5 minute train ride away from Chofu Station. Chofu Station is a major hub station for the area not only for trains but for buses and taxis as well. The 2020 olympics should also be hosting events at Tokyo Stadium. From Shinjuku, the Keio Line will take you straight to Chofu Station and Tobitakyu station.
If you are staying in Chofu, you can either take the same train, or there’s a bus that goes straight to Tokyo Ajinomoto Stadium entrance. The bus stop is #12 at the north side of Chofu Station.

Shibuya Nonbei Yokocho
Nonbei Yokocho in the heart of Shibuya Tokyo
Wander around the ramshackle street of Nonbei Yokocho ('Drunkard's Alley’) where you'll find rows of tiny bars – some so small that they only fit four or five people at a time. The street once hosted the Tokyu railway corporation's head office, but things here changed drastically in the early postwar years. Dating back to the early 1950s, popular yakitori shops and similar eateries rule the alley. One of the most popular is Okasan ('mother'), a bare-bones joint that's been serving hungry patrons for three generations. You'll also find bars, bistros and quirky shops at Nonbei, conveniently located right by bustling Shibuya Station. Although it's become a tad more touristy in recent years, this one's still one of Tokyo's most representative yokocho.

What's up guys! In this episode we are showing the cool things to see and do in Asakusa, Ueno and Kichijoji (Tokyo, Japan). The most famous spots in Asakusa are of course the Nakamise street and the Sensoji-temple. However, we also get some incredible premium matcha ice cream as well as playing fun games at Otakara x Ichiba in Asakusa. Afterwards, we all explore the beautiful area of Ueno mainly known for the Ueno park and Ameya Yokocho! And the last stop on our list is Kichijoji where we get some drinks at an Izakaya (Torikizoku) and go to the famous EA Shooting bar in the evening!

Kichijōji (吉祥寺) is a neighborhood in the city of Musashino in Tokyo, Japan. It is centered on the commercial area to the north of its train station and has a youthful, artistic, slightly countercultural reputation. Kichijōji Station is served by the Chūō Line, Sobu Line, Tozai Line and is also a terminus of the Keiō Inokashira Line, which takes passengers as far as Shibuya. The area is one of the most popular areas for younger people to spend their weekend, due to the fact that it features one of Tokyo's most varied and complete shopping areas, as well as the almost constantly crowded Inokashira Park together with its zoo. Supporting the fact of its popularity is that it was voted to the number 1 place where people in Japan wish they would live.

The Yaesu side was also rebuilt following the war, but the rebuilt structure was damaged by fire in 1949, and the Yaesu side was then significantly upgraded with a contemporary exterior and large Daimaru department store. The new Yaesu side facilities opened in 1953, including two new platforms for Tōkaidō Main Line services (now used by Shinkansen trains). Two more platforms opened in 1964 to accommodate the first Shinkansen services. The Yaesu side was partially rebuilt again in 1991 to accommodate the Shinkansen extension from Ueno.
A plan was finalized in 1971 to build a Narita Shinkansen high-speed line connecting Tokyo Station to Narita International Airport. The line was envisioned as extending underground from Tokyo to Shinjuku Station, and in order to avoid having the line run under the Imperial Palace, the platforms were planned to be built underneath Kajibashi-dori to the south of Tokyo Station. Construction of the Narita Shinkansen was halted in 1983 after issues in acquiring the necessary land to build the line, but the area set aside for its platforms was eventually used for the Keiyo Line and Musashino Line terminals, which opened in 1990.
From July 1987 to 2000 there were a series of regular free public concerts held in Tokyo station. Referred to as Tokyo Eki Kon (Tokyo Station Concerts) they were first held as a celebration of the launch of Japan Railways Group as the privatized successor to the state-owned Japanese National Railways. 246 concerts were performed but the popularity waned and the last one was held in November 2000. The event returned in 2004 as the Aka Renga (Red Brick) Concerts, and held 19 times, but after redevelopment of the station started in earnest the concerts were suspended once again. In 2012, as the reconstruction approached its end, there were calls for the concerts to be held again.
The Tokyo Station complex is undergoing extensive development, which include major improvements to the Marunouchi (west) and Yaesu (east) sides of the station. The Marunouchi side underwent an extensive 5-year renovation which was completed in October 2012. The historic 98-year-old Marunouchi side of the station was restored to pre-war condition. The surrounding area converted into a broad plaza extending into a walkway toward the Imperial Palace, with space for bus and taxi ranks. On the Yaesu side, the current multi-story exterior will be replaced by a much lower structure with a large canopy covering outdoor waiting and loading areas, and will connect the newly built GranTokyo North and South Towers at both ends. The high rise office towers will provide additional access to and from the station, and include multi-story shopping areas which will contribute to the station complex. This project was completed in 2013.
At present, Tokyo Station is surrounded by high-rise buildings, which offer a view of the cupola and other restored elements of the station.
