京都 紅葉の修学院離宮 Shugakuin Imperial Villa in autumn leaves, Kyoto
2017年11月16日に撮影。午前11時に当日申し込みの受付がありましたが、早い方は早朝（午前7時前後らしい）から受け付のために修学院離宮門前に並んでいたとか。私は当初、修学院離宮を見学する予定はなかったのですが、京都市市営地下鉄で国際会館駅まで行き、そこから京都市街まで自転車で下る途中で午前10時頃に修学院離宮まで行ったところ、当日受付開始時刻の午前11時前までに並んでいた人が結構いるものの、見学受付可能人数までまだ大丈夫なようなので並びました（ちょうど自分の所から午後3時見学開始組の番号になりました。自分の前の組は午後1時30分見学開始組の方々。でもそのおかげで、晴天に恵まれた中での見学ができました。当日は朝から曇り空でした）。
動画の冒頭で修学院離宮の周辺を撮影しています。結構、新興住宅の宅地開発が進んでいるようですが、修学院離宮のすぐ近くは歴史的風土特別保存地区に指定されていて開発が完全に規制されています。
参観時間 約80分 （visiting time about 80 minutes）

参観者出入口（Entrance/Exit）→参観者休所（Wating Room）→下離宮（Lower Villa）→中離宮（Middle Villa）→上離宮（Upper Villa）→参観者出入口（Entrance/Exit）

Katsura Imperial Villa (Katsura Rikyu), Kyoto in 4K - 桂離宮 - Japan As It Truly Is
The Katsura Imperial Villa is one of Kyoto's most beautiful sights, yet missed by nearly everyone. Here is the jewel they never see.
Katsura Imperial Villa (or Katsura Rikyu, 桂離宮) goes back to the early 17th century and was a villa of Prince Toshihito. It was expanded by his son after his death. Katsura Rikyu has what is considered the finest achievements of Japanese architecture, as well as one of the most beautiful traditional Japanese gardens in the entire country.
Katsura Rikyu is about 1 km or a 12 minute walk from Katsura Stn. It can only be viewed in a tour given by the Imperial Household Agency, and advance reservations are recommended. Given the flood of tourists in Kyoto now, there is a ¥1000 charge for seeing the Katsura Imperial Villa. There are tours given both in Japanese and English.

運良く拝観許可がおりて見学に出かけた。予想以上に広々として爽快な景観の庭園である。後水尾天皇が江戸時代に作った離宮。隆慶一郎の小説「花と火の帝」によれば、後水尾天皇は豪胆な気質の人柄のようである。

修学院離宮へ行く時は 近くの駐車場が空いてるかどうかわからないので どこかへ車を置いてタクシーで行っています。
私は ここへくると 日本人であることが誇らしい気持ちになります。ここは日本１、世界１だと思います。

The Katsura Imperial Villa (桂離宮 Katsura Rikyū), or Katsura Detached Palace, is a villa with associated gardens and outbuildings in the western suburbs of Kyoto, Japan (in Nishikyō-ku, separate from the Kyoto Imperial Palace). It is one of Japan's most important large-scale cultural treasures.
Its gardens are considered a masterpiece of Japanese gardening, and the buildings are regarded among the greatest achievements of Japanese architecture. The palace includes a shoin (drawing room), tea houses, and a strolling garden.
The palace belonged to the princes of the Hachijō-no-miya (八条宮) family. The Imperial Household Agency administers it, and accepts visitors by appointment.

Shugakuin Imperial Villa No.1
The total area of Shugakuin Imperial Villa is approxiamatery 133 acers . It is located at the foothills of the Higashiyama mountain chain and both a breathaking view of Mt. Hiei and the faraway mountais. The sense of closence and distance in the garden is produced by the harmonization of the panoramic views of mountains and foothill in the backgrand to the garden vista. This contrast is called Shakkei, or the use of natural scenery in creating a serene atmosphere.

2018年5月16日に撮影。当日申し込みでは午後1時30分、午後3時の2回に分けて参観があるのですが、この時期は紅葉の時期と違って午後になっても午後3時の参観受付をしていました（午後1時30分の参観は午前中に定員に達したようです。受付開始は午前10時30分頃から。この日は午前10時30分頃には20人前後の方が当日受付で並んでいました）。
この時期は修学院離宮敷地内の田んぼの水引があり、その光景が修学院離宮の上離宮あたりから見るとすごく素晴らしいということを昨年の紅葉時期に修学院離宮を参観した際にガイドの方が仰っていましたが、まだ半分ほどの田んぼしか水引がされていませんでした。でも新緑の修学院離宮を見たかったので大満足でした。
