#Manchester is a city of firsts. #Vacation here to what was the epicenter of the Industrial Revolution, the place where mankind first split the atom, and the birthplace of the modern computer.
In Castlefield, #visit the remains of a Roman fort, Bridgewater Canal, and some of the mills which once generated incredible wealth for the city.
The Town Hall was built to rival the great buildings of London. Many of the treasures sourced by merchants during the Industrial Revolution now reside in the Manchester Art Gallery and the Manchester Museum.
The People’s History Museum celebrates those who challenged Britain’s rigid political and class systems. At the world’s oldest surviving railway station, you’ll find The Museum of Science and Industry, while the Imperial War Museum North reminds us of the human cost of warfare.
Learn about the city’s footballing history at the National Football Museum, or see a match at Old Trafford.
For now, we hope you enjoy watching this #travel #guide as much as we enjoyed making it.

48 Hours in Manchester | Everything to Do, See & Eat
We have arrived in Manchester to show you everything to see and do if you have 48 hours in one of our new favourite English cities.
First up we checked into the extremely lush hotel, right in the heart of the city - The Principal Manchester, and if you are looking for a super comfortable stay - this is the spot, trust us.
Next up we walked around the Northern Quarter to find some cute cafe's and bars before checking out The Bay Horse Tavern for a British pub meal.
The next day we finally accepted our Hogwarts letters and went to the John Ryland Library - any Harry Potter fans need to pop in here.
For lunch we found some street food, went to Fred Aldous for a cheeky photobooth visit before heading to Junkyard golf for a unique take on mini golf.
To end our time we decided to have a romantic dinner at School for Scandal before catching our train to the next destination...York :)
Thanks to ACP Rail for our Britrail tickets:

Manchester - Visit Britain - Unravel Travel TV
Manchester, the cultural and commercial capital of Northwest England. Famed for its Grand Victorian civic architecture, built on the wealth of the cotton and textile trade. It includes the magnificent Neo-gothic Town Hall. Recent years have seen striking modern additions such as the Imperial War Museum North and the Beetham Tower. A vibrant, cosmopolitan metropolis, Manchester is home to many bars and cafes, and a thriving cultural life. The Manchester Arndale Centre is a major retail hub, overlooked by the Wheel of Manchester. Manchester Art Gallery is visited by around 400,000 people each year. The modern arts centre, The Lowry, named after the prominent local artist, stages a wide array of cultural events. Standing in Sam's Chop House Bar is the artist's statue. Art has found its way into the architecture of this colourful city too. Equally colourful are the Mancunians, as the city's residents are called. Known for enjoying themselves at celebrations such as the annual Manchester pride festival, or taking part in the city's legendary nightlife. Manchester is known as a party town, famous for its trendy clubs. Music has always been at the heart of the city, from folk and classical traditions, musical theatre and Opera, and pop-rock bands, such as New Order and Oasis. Old Trafford is where global superstar David Beckham first made his career with Manchester United Football Club. An exciting fusion of art, music and sport makes Manchester a cosmopolitan city of celebration.

Manchester - Cities of England
