Sileni Estates Winery, Hawke's Bay, New Zealand
Sileni Estates is a family owned winery started in 1997 in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand. Sileni Estates is named after the Sileni who featured in Roman mythology alongside Bacchus, the god of wine. They celebrated good wine, good food and good company.
Our aim is to produce food-friendly, fruit driven style wines from Hawke's Bay and Marlborough, New Zealand....and sell them to the world!

New Zealanders shy away from vineyard work
Central Otago viticulturists are finding it almost impossible to attract New Zealanders to harvest grapes.
Even offering higher pay is not enough to draw local workers.

Napier and surroundings New Zealand
First we visit the winery The Mission than you will see pictures of Napier.
Napier (called Ahuriri in the Māori language) is a New Zealand city with a seaport, located in Hawke's Bay on the eastern coast of the North Island. The population of Napier is about 58,600.
It is a popular tourist city, with a unique concentration of 1930s Art Deco architecture. Although a few Art Deco buildings were replaced with contemporary structures during the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s, most of the centre remained intact for long enough to become recognized as architecturally important, and beginning in the 1990s it had been protected and restored. Napier and the area of South Beach, Miami, Florida, are considered to be the two best-preserved Art Deco towns.
Napier also has a National Aquarium with a living Kiwi (the bird). It is difficult to take a picture of this animal because it is active in the night and has that enviroment in the aquarium. One of my travelfellows was successfull without flashlight.

Trinity Hill Homage 2015 Launch
New Zealand's finest Syrah is only made in years when the grapes are at their best. Hence why in 15 years there has only been 8 vintages. I had the privilege of being one of a select group of wine adorers who flew down to the Hawkes Bay to taste the latest (2015) vintage.
