Amalfi Coast, Italy: Illustrious Seaside Town
More info about travel to the Amalfi Coast: The town of Amalfi is perched on Italy's stunning Amalfi Coast just south of Naples. Amalfi has a proud history that peaked in the 10th century when it was a maritime trading power with a fleet that rivaled Genoa, Pisa and Venice. That's why the town boasts an art-filled cathedral grander than a town of 7,000 would merit. Today, Amalfi lives off tourism and invites visitors to enjoy la dolce vita.

The BEST Amalfi Coast Driving Tour! 4K UHD
Enjoy a 4K UHD tour along Italy's most beautiful coastline, The Amalfi Coast (Italian: Costiera Amalfitana) in this episode of Prowalk Tours. The Amalfi Drive, formerly known as the SS 163, is considered to be the most scenic stretch of coastline in Europe and one of the best coastal drives in the world. Unfortunately, when you are stuck in a car or in a bus, it is not possible to get a good view. In this scooter video, you will get the best possible view for the entire 80 km (50 miles). This video was filmed on September 7th, 2019. I started the day by renting a scooter at Jollyrents in Sorrento (link below). I mounted two cameras, the DJI Osmo Pocket and the Insta360 One X. The Osmo pocket video was filmed in 4K at 60fps. At minute 1:17:59, the Osmo Pocket camera battery died so the remaining part of the video is from the Insta360 One X camera. To see the 360 version of this drive, click on the following link: Let's go for a drive!

Private Shore Excursion Tour of The Amalfi Coast, Italy: Positano, Salerno, Amalfi, Ravello
Oh, the beautiful Amalfi Coast! We are a family of 6 who enjoyed a Mediterranean cruise onboard the MSC Fantasia (We are from California). One of our ports is Naples in Italy, July 4, 2019. We thought it would be great to visit the Amalfi Coast and the town of Positano. This was going to be one of the highlights for me of our trip. I researched and booked a private tour with Guemar Travel 9 months in advance. We’re only docked in Naples from 7am to 5pm and I was not sure if that was enough time to see all the places I wanted and get back to the ship on time. Elia was our driver and our guide. He is so friendly, awesome, and such a safe driver. Mamma Mia! He drives this route every day. He knows what he’s doing. He took care of us and got us back safely in good time for our ship. We were driven in a Mercedes van.
From Naples, we drove to a limoncello factory and tried some drink. From here we had a nice view of the town of Sorrento with Mt Vesuvius in the background. Then headed to the town of Positano where we spent about 2-3 hours. It was just like what I had seen on travel shows. We continued on the coastal drive to Salerno and Amalfi, where we had some more free time. We headed to our last town, Ravello. We enjoyed our time in beautiful Ravello with its cliff side villas and scenic gardens. We also appreciated that it was not crowded like the other towns. For us, this private shore excursion was definitely a great way to spend our day.

The Costa D'Amalfi (Italy) Vacation Travel Video Guide
Travel video about destination Amalfitana in Italy.
The Costa D'Amalfi in the south of Italy is both wild and beautiful, framed by the Tyrrhenian Sea and the foothills of the Lattari Mountains as well as historic and picturesque towns.Sorrento marks the beginning of a journey through the land where the lemon trees blossom and along one of the most beautiful panoramic roads in the world, the Amalfitana. Sorrento's secrets lie hidden in numerous cloisters, gardens and courtyards and within the footsteps of European history. They all came here, Greeks, Romans, Normans, French and Spanish, to a place that since ancient times has been used for recreation. Until the end of the nineteenth century the Amalfi Coast was mainly accessible from the sea but later a road was built, the Amalfitana. It is around twenty five miles long, with many sharp curves, and often seems to hover above the sea. Amalfi is the beating heart of the coast and .today a world famous resort that is squeezed into the mouth of a valley of mills. In the Middle Ages, along with Pisa, Genoa and Venice, Amalfi was one of Italy’s most powerful maritime republics and its prosperity showed. High above the coast is Ravello that in the ninth century belonged to the League of Cities of the Amalfi Republic and served as a defence against the Normans. It boasted twelve churches plus various convents and palaces in mediaeval Moorish architecture that highlighted a glorious era of luxury and wealth. One of the most beautiful roads in the world, the Amalfitana travels along a remarkable coastline and through character–rich locations that are full of the varied architecture that only the pages of history can endow.

Italy's Amalfi Coast Casa Escher Airbnb | Italy Travel Vlog | Traveling With The Davises
Hey guys! If you're going to Italy's Amalfi Coast Italy and need a great Airbnb recommendation then look no further. Casa Escher is located just a few steps from the main center of Amalfi Coast. The views are amazing the long balcony is perfect for your morning espresso. This location is PERFECT very close to the city center, if you head out and make a right you will come to the Gas Bar, great pizza and a cheap bottle of wine (that taste great) if you need a late snack. The walk up the stairs can be harsh when you're coming from the city, however, Jon and I found a set of stairs to the left of the second tunnel. those lead to the main road and down to the market ;)
We hope you enjoy our Italy Travel Vlog and please let any comments below and be sure to like and share this video.

Adeyto ???????? AMALFI ???? CITY on AMALFI COAST ITALY
Amalfi is the transport transfer hub on the Coast so we pass through here on the way to Ravello and then on the way to Positano and finally I stay here two days with my best friend Mary. And it's all about LEMONS and Lemoncello the local alcohol produced with lemons and then pizza and eateries everywhere on the streets and open spaces full of tables and seats and hundreds people eating on those terraces.
It gets pretty once you walk in the inner part of the town however the port area and even more so the crazy bus station are soooooooooo full with people desperate to get in time to their destinations and with busses coming late and stuck in traffic and no info in English and no tickets vending machines (can you imagine you must buy the bus tickets in a tobacco shop) so compared with how organized everything is in Japan, this Amalfi is the proverbial top of the Italian mess...
But it's still very very scenic and good to be there, done that. Just take the boats as much as possible and AVOID DRIVING AND BUSSES.
Amalfi town in a dramatic natural setting below steep cliffs on Italy’s southwest coast. Between the 9th and 11th centuries, it was the seat of a powerful maritime republic. The Arab-Norman Sant'Andrea cathedral at the heart of town, with its striped Byzantine facade, survives from this era. The Museo Arsenale Amalfi is a medieval shipyard-turned-exhibition space.
Amalfi’s Chiostro del Paradiso has 13th-century Moorish cloisters around a tropical garden. The Valle dei Mulini ravine above town is home to the Museo della Carta (Museum of Paper), in a 13th-century mill with original working paper presses. Hiking trails in the valley overlook lemon groves and pastel buildings on hillside terraces. Many use the town as a base for exploring the beaches, forests and mountains of the surrounding Amalfi Coast, picturesque Positano and the hillside gardens and villas of Ravello. Boat tours leave from the marina, where there’s also a lively beach.
Amalfi Coast & Pompeii
After a scenic drive, you'll arrive in Pompeii where you'll visit the Roman resort buried by volcanic ash. Your tour will take you to the city's baths, villas and theaters. See the well-preserved frescoes and mosaic-inlaid floors. Plaster casts mark the positions of the fallen who were swiftly overcome by the ashes. After lunch, if time permits, you'll visit a cameo factory to see how the jewelry is made. Continue along the mountain road, which takes you to one of the picturesque villages of this famous area to explore its quaint streets. Continue along the coast, and take in stunning views at every turn of the winding road. When the Amalfi road closes to traffic (during holidays), this part of the tour is done by motor boat. The views from the water are simply spectacular. In case of inclement weather and rough seas, the cruise to Amalfi will be substituted by a visit to Sorrento. Note: During summer months expect extreme heat, crowded venues and long lines. We recommend that you dress in layers and bring bottled water.
