Today we pay a visit to the Malang Protestant Church in order to find out whether my wife Nelleke was baptized here, but in vain. Next we visit the administration of the Lavalette Klinik where we are told that no records from the colonization period were kept. We are allowed to have a look in the maternity room. We have a break in Toko Oen which was already popular in the thirties of the 20th century among the Dutch inhabitants of Malang according to a message on the wall in Dutch.
Our guide Jon speaks Dutch quite well and he proposes to have a look at the Singosari temple, remnants actually of it. Singosari is a beautiful rural place so more temple remnants to be found.
After Singosari it is the turn for the Wonosari tea plantation which offers guest accomodations in a splendid and quiet ambience! Beside tea also coffee is grown here but on a smaller scale. Some animals are kept in cages.
The evening we pass in restaurant Inggyl in Malang. Inggyl stands for original Javanese style, besides it is the name for the Javanese court language. Unlike our new friends Jon and Addy we use knife and fork to enjoy the typical Javanese food. They however use only their right hand to eat...
In the meantime we enjoy the sounds of a keyboard and a young vocalist who even sings Dutch songs from about sixty years ago. Jon falls in beside her on stage.
Back home at Tante Nelly's we reflect on today's experiences. How good life can be.

Candi singosari, Saksi Sejarah Kerajaan Singosari (Witness History of the Kingdom of Singosari)
(Singosari temple is located in the village of Candirenggo, Singosari, Malang, East Java. Singosari temple is one of the silent witness of the history of the kingdom of Singosari. The temple, which serves as a medium Hindu religious ceremonies at that time to witness history on Jayakatwang army offensive against the kingdom of Singosari cause of this temple is not resolved at the time of its construction.)
CANDI SINGOSARI 2 - Unfinished The Temple Of Royal Singosari Country
(Singosari Temple is located on Krajan, Candireggo, Singosari, Malang, Jawa Timur, Indonesia.
Seen from the shape, Singosari temple has the distinction and characteristic when compared with other temples.
Singosari temple architecture is a building with body parts and towering peaks, surrounded by four additional building that have a lower peak as part of the foot.
Thus Singosari temple can be regarded as a picture or imitation of mount Meru, obv[ously related to the concept of mount Meru.
Therefore Singosari temple is more accurately said as the state temple or the temple of the kingdom, meaning the temple is built as the core or the magical center of the kingdom.
The impression can now be seen the temple building that is no longer intact. If examined parts of decoration, many unfinished ornaments are made.
Archaeologists suspect the temple is in the process of unfinished construction and then abandoned)
JAGO TAMPLE | Relics Of The Singasari Kingdom In Malang City East Java.
Jago Temple is located 22 kilometers east of Malang City, precisely in Jago Hamlet, Tumpang Village, Tumpang District, Malang Regency, East Java.
In the book Negarakertagama and pararaton, History of the Jago Temple was built since 1268 AD, and was only completed in 1280 AD. This temple was built to honor King Singasari, Sri Jaya Wisnuwardhana (1248 - 1268), the fourth king of the Singasari kingdom by his son and at the same time the king who ruled at that time, namely kertanegara king.
Jago Temple, according to Negarakretagama called Jajaghu, is a place where the king Wisnuwardhana or Ranggawuni was enthroned which involved the year 1190 C or around 1268 AD.
According to the Negarakertagama and Pararaton books, the name of this temple is actually Jajaghu. In the poem 41 gatra 4th Negarakertagama explained that King Wisnuwardhana who ruled Singasari adheres to Shiva Buddhism, which is a religious school which is a fusion of Hinduism and Buddhism.
The flow developed during the reign of the Kingdom of Singasari, a kingdom located about 20 km from Jago Temple. Jago Temple is filled with relief panels carved neatly from the feet to the top wall of the room. There are almost no blank fields, because all are filled with various ornaments in the fabric of stories that contain elements of the release of departure.
This reinforces the notion that the construction of the Jago Temple is closely related to the death of Sri Jaya Wisnuwardhana.
In accordance with the religion embraced by King Wisnuwardhana, namely Shiva Buddha, the reliefs at Jago Temple contain both Hindu and Buddhist teachings. Buddha's teachings are reflected in the reliefs of the Kamandaka Tantri story and the Kunjarakarna story carved on the lowest terrace. On the second porch wall, carved the Kunjarakarna story and Mahabarata excerpts containing Hindu teachings, namely Parthayajna and Arjuna Wiwaha. The third terrace is filled with further reliefs from the Arjunawiwaha story. The body walls of the temple are also filled with reliefs of Hindu stories, namely the battle of Krishna with Kalayawana.
In the center of the front court, about 6 m from the foot of the temple, there is a large stone carved into the shape of a giant statue mat, with a stone diameter of about 1 m. At its peak there is a lotus flower sculpture extending from the bulb.
On the west side of the temple's courtyard there is an eight-armed Amoghapasa statue as a symbol of the king of Sri Jaya Wisnuwardhana behind the back of a giant head-shaped throne. The head of the statue has disappeared and the arms have been broken.

PURA LUHUR DWIJAWARSA - Kota Malang
Pura Luhur Dwijawarsa ini lokasinya di Daerah Buring - Kota Malang.
Dibangun tahun 1959.
Semoga bermanfaat videonya.
Tetap ikuti saya menjelajahi Kota Malang dan sekitarnya.

The Ancient Jago Temple in Malang - East Java
Jajaghu or Jago temple is located 24 Km to the east of Malang city. This temple was constructed in 1275-1300 AD
Jajaghu or Jago temple was constructed in 1275 – 1300 AD. It believed as the burial place of King Wisnuwardhana ashes, the fourth king of Singosari kingdom. It is extremely interesting that the temple has ornament similarities to those of Penataran temple in Blitar Regency
Principally, this temple is belongs to Buddhist character. The building which we see today, however, is probably the result of a renovation carried out in the 1340's in order from the Sumatran prince Adityawarman, a blood relative of Hayam Wuruk.
The temple, which faces to west, has a rectangular ground plan measuring 23 X 14 meters. Since the roof and much of the body of the main sanctuary have collapsed, it can only be estimated that the original height of the monument was about 15 meters. Access to the principal shrine is by two stairways, which lead up from the front of the building via three receding terraced levels, creating the illusion of ascending a mountain slope.
