Park City HomeRun Ski Trail -- Full Length -- December 17, 2016
This video shows the full 3.55 miles (571 k) distance of Park City Mountain Resort's HomeRun Ski Trail, starting from the upper Pioneer lift station and ending at the lower Payday lift station -- a vertical elevation loss of 2,450' (747 m). This is a wonderful green trail that goes from the top of the mountain to the base. Most skiers access this trail by first taking the Payday Express then transferring to the Bonanza Express lift to reach the top of the mountain -- skiing the run from the Bonanza lift reduces the distance shown in the video by about 1/4 of a mile (you will pass the Bonanza lift station on the right, shortly after the beginning of the video). Homerun can also accessed via the Silverload, Motherload, and Thaynes chairlifts.

Park City: First Time Trail
In this video, I am snowboarding at Park City. It is Martin Luther King’s Day weekend and I have travelled here with family and friends. Park City is a huge mountain with two sections, a Mountains Village and a Canyons Village. We are skiing in the Mountains Village, the main Park City ski area, which is closer to historic Park City where there are many great restaurants. Park City is owned and operated by Vail Resorts, which growing its asset portfolio of ski resorts through acquisitions. You can ski all week, with these two mountains inter connected to each other.
In these clips, I am snowboarding with my daughter on the learning trail, First Time. This is a huge green trail with a chairlift at the base of the mountain. There are also a few magic carpet areas closeby for beginners. There are many lessons on First Time, but it is very wide with enough space for everyone. My daughter is eight years old and she enjoyed this trail a lot and was able to go up the chairlift on her own accord. There were two other girls with our group on this trip, so they had fun skiing and snowboarding together.
The conditions were amazing, with powder and snow. I did not see much ice on the mountain, even though there were a lot of visitors. The views were amazing, as you can see in these clips.
Because it was a long holiday weekend, and everything was a little more expensive and there were a lot of people at the mountain. At the trails at higher levels, it was spacious and not too crowded, but at some locations it can get congested and you have to be careful not to get hit. Believe it or not, I was hit twice from behind by one skier and a snowboarder. They host an annual Sundance Festival in Park City, so if you visit, try to avoid that weekend, which can get crowded and even more expensive and even more crowded.
There are many restaurants in Park City to try out, but make reservations ahead of time for dinners. During this trip, our first night there, we had no reservations and instead got take out food from Bangkok Thai on Main and ate it in our airbnb. We had sit down dinners at Grappa and Grub Steakhouse. I have also visited High West Distillery and a few other restaurants. For lunch, instead of eating at the main dining hall, we ate at a restaurant called Baja Cantina near the base lodge, good Mexican food.
Park City is only about 50 minutes from Salt Lake City airport. Convenient for us, flew in directly from Boston and rented a car and an Airbnb with friends. On the day you arrive, you can even try to squeeze in an afternoon on the slopes. There are a ton of other ski resorts I the area, but I like Park City. My wife and I have come here before and had an excellent time, so we have come back to meet friends here.
Share this with any friends visiting Park City soon! I hope you liked this video, if you did please click like comment or subscribe. Please check out my other snowboarding videos on my channel.

Park City Utah
LOST IN UTAH
Skiing, for the past 3 years or so has been something i've always looked forward to the winter months for. Being from the east coast of the United States, the mountains and slopes aren't as good as the West Coast / Midwest mountains, such as Utah. The snow / powder was unreal.
Traveling to Salt Lake City, Utah, was for sure a trip, that i will never forget... I have skied nothing as good as Park City Mountain so far, and I will for sure be returning in the future.
I met up with some family friends in Utah, who are also from New York. They were there to either ski or snowboard.
Most of the footage i collected was captured on a Cannon G7X, which was handheld, and a GoPro camera, that was mounted to my Giro Helmet.
Capital Improvements for the 2015/2016 Season at Park City Mountain Resort
More than $50 million of improvements are planned for next season!
Vail Resorts plans to link two of North America’s greatest ski areas – creating the largest resort in the United States with 7,300 acres of skiable terrain. The plan outlines more than $50 million worth of resort improvements in 2015 that include:
The Interconnect Gondola -
An eight-passenger, high-speed gondola running from the base of the existing Silverlode Lift at Park City to the Flatiron Lift at Canyons. When conditions allow, gondola passengers will be able to unload at the top of Pine Cone Ridge and ski or ride directly down to Park City's Thaynes Canyon trail via gated ski access or to the Iron Mountain area at Canyons through new trails that will be created from Pine Cone Ridge.
Upgrade of King Con and Motherlode Lifts at Park City -
King Con will be upgraded from a 4-person to 6-person high-speed detachable chair, meaning increased lift capacity. Motherlode will switch from a fixed-grip triple to a 4-person high-speed detachable, similarly improving the number of guests it can carry.
New Snow Hut Restaurant, Upgrades to Summit House Restaurant at Park City and Expansion of Red Pine Lodge at Canyons -
A completely new Snow Hut restaurant, replacing the current Snow Hut next to the base of Park City's Silverlode Lift and the Park City terminal for the Interconnect Gondola, will include 500 indoor seats and a top-of-the-line kitchen and culinary experience. Meanwhile, upgrades to Summit House will improve the flow of diners and increase seating. At Canyons, Red Pine Restaurant will be renovated to the tune of 250 additional indoor seats.
Snowmaking and Other Improvements
The plan rounds out with additional snowmaking on two trails in Canyons’ Iron Mountain area to handle increased skier traffic for Interconnect Gondola access. We’ll also be putting almost $5 million of catch up maintenance and upgrades at Park City, given the lack of spending at the resort over the past few years. This “catch up” maintenance spending is in addition to the normal annual maintenance capital for the two resorts of $5 million, which will be undertaken this year as well.
It’s the dawn of an exciting new era at Park City Mountain Resort and we couldn’t be more excited to share it with you. Stay tuned for updates throughout this next exciting year of growth!
Welcome to Park City Mountain
There is only One…. Park City, the United States’ largest ski resort. With over 7,300 acres and 314 runs, Vail Resort has linked two of North America’s greatest ski areas to offer skiers of all abilities access to Utah's legendary snow. Vail’s $50 million capital improvement plan includes the new Quicksilver Gondola connecting Park City and Canyons, providing skiers and boarders with a wide array of terrain, dining, and après ski venues.
In addition to endless skiing, this resort offers innumerable real estate options from luxurious condominiums at Waldorf Astoria and Hyatt Centric to exquisite townhomes, Vintage on the Strand and Juniper Landing to estate lots and homes in the gated community of The Colony. Whether you're looking for ski-in/ski-out access in a contemporary setting with on-site amenities, or your own private gathering spot, we have a property for you, including new development ski-in, ski-out opportunities at Lift and Apex, and the golf townhomes of Viridian.
The vibrant resort village features year round activity and convenient proximity to Old Town’ Main Street, the Salt Lake International Airport and a wide range of recreational pursuits.
Park City Quicksilver Gondola
The Quicksilver Gondola is the iconic lift connection that created the largest ski resort in the United States. It was built in 2015 by Doppelmayr as Vail Resorts integrated Park City Mountain Resort with Canyons. The lift travels from The Colony development at Canyons in White Pine Canyon, downhill from the Iron Mountain Express, and to a midstation located on Pinecone Ridge. From there, the gondola travels to the base of the Silverlode Express and Miners Camp lodge, including a massive span of Thaynes Canyon in the process. The lift has a vertical rise of 1,686 feet with a total inclined length of 7,776 feet and a capacity of 1,500 people per hour. The lift has CWA Omega IV cabins, Agamatic grips, and UNI-G stations. The midstation is not a UNI-G station, limited to only covers over the tire banks and bullwheels. The midstation is also noteworthy because the line gauge and tower style actually changes, from a shorter width and American-style towers on the Canyons side to larger width European-style towers on the Park City side, due to the span over Thaynes Canyon. Guests can ski down from both sides, either down two blues into the Canyons or the expert terrain of Pinecone Ridge into Park City. The Quicksilver Gondola completely revolutionized the skiing in Park City, stitching two resorts together with an impressive piece of ropeway engineering. From steep sections to the midstation and huge span, Quicksilver has it all for any avid fan of ski lifts.

Park City Pow Day
Got some pow overnight in Park City
Park City Mountain Resort is a ski resort in the western United States in Park City, Utah, located 32 miles (51 km) east of Salt Lake City. Opened in 1963, the resort has been a major tourist attraction for skiers from all over the United States, as well as a main employer for many of Park City's citizens. Park City, as the ski resort and area is known, contains several training courses for the U.S. Ski Team, including slalom and giant slalom runs. During the 2002 Winter Olympics the resort hosted the snowboarding events and the men's and women's alpine giant slalom events. The resort was purchased by Vail Resorts in 2014 and combined the resort with neighboring Canyons Resort via an interconnect gondola to create the largest ski area in the United States at the time.[1] It has since been surpassed by Powder Mountain in 2016.
During the ski season, most slopes and lifts are open from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm with some runs open later for night skiing.
Park City is one of the featured mountains in the video game Shaun White Snowboarding for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Snowbasin Ski resort Utah!
This is an uncut video of a combination of green dot, blue square and maybe a few feet of black diamond run in Snowbasin Ski resort Utah. Despite there being little snow as you can hear the ice noises of me trying to turn and it not working! Weather was great but it was an off year for snow. More uncut videos to come!
left raw wind noise, because music don't feel right to me unless it's a park video or there's something major going on.
I am not sure why it isn't 1080/60 like I recorded it... sorry!
