A journey to North Sikkim / Vlog Episode-2 / Gangtok to Lachen
This is our small travel story to North Sikkim the “Iceland of India”
We started our journey around 8am in the morning from the Taxi Stan Gangtok. The weather was very cloudy and cold and at the same time fellow friends calls up and says “ its offseason to visit North” but who cares we just started our journey believing in our faith. The driver was very friendly 6 to 7 hrs of ride just passed by listening to his jokes and we are very thankful to Mr Bichung for giving us time and showing us the beautiful destination that falls in between. It was very long ride but the beautiful places kept us on the flow. The memorable thing was “there were two more passengers who traveled till Lachen without any hesitation they gave their precious time to us without knowing our venture and that’s what I like about the people of hills.

Darjeeling - Queen Of Himalaya
Glimpse from my recent trip to darjeeling.
Jaw-dropping locales, mesmerising sunrises, the untouched beauty of the hills, the old-world charm of the past, and the welcoming smiles of the local people all add up to make Darjeeling one of the most beautiful hill stations in Eastern part of India. Spread over a steep mountain ridge, nestled amidst acres of lush green tea plantations, Darjeeling stands at the height of 2,050 meters above sea level, thus boasting of cool climes all year round. There is a reason the city is known as the 'Queen of the Himalayas'. The lush green slopes dotted with women plucking tea leaves is a sight as mesmerising as no other.
