Cochamó Chile - Secret patagonia - Secretpatagonia.travel
Cochamo's valley is the result of a fusion between the Pacific Ocean and the Andes mountain chain- giving birth to the first Patagonian fjord. The innumerable lakes, rivers and mountains proper to the valley set an extraordinary stage for horseback excursions, trekking, cycling and sea kayaking.
Located only 90 kilometers from Puerto Varas, facing the Reloncavi Estuary, this first among the Patagonian fjords within Chilean territory is oriented between 41°19'05'' and 42°11'05'' southern latitude and 71°50' and 72°41' western longitude. Only 4,363 people inhabit its 416,500 hectares (1 person for every 95 hectares.)

Futaleufú River in Chile | 4K | Drone | Epic Landscape | Timelapse | Beautiful Lakes | Climbing
Futaleufú is a Chilean town and commune located in Northern Patagonia, specifically in Palena Province, Los Lagos Region. Futaleufu is a frontier town with a small but growing tourism industry based on adventure tourism—most specifically whitewater rafting—but also fishing, mountain biking, trekking, and canyoning. Located 7 miles from the Argentinian border, Futaleufu is most easily accessed from airports in Esquel and Bariloche, Argentina. The town is named after the crystal blue Futaleufú River, widely considered to be one of the best whitewater rafting rivers in the world. The name Futaleufu derives from a Mapudungun word meaning Big River.
The town has a population of about 2,000. The main income for the community is fly fishing and outdoor sports, particularly white water rafting, together with forestry and cattle farming. A gravel road links the town to Trevelin in Argentina and to the Carretera Austral. It is served by Futaleufú Airfield.
Following the eruption of Chaitén Volcano and the subsequent destruction of Chaitén, Futaleufú has been the administrative capital of Palena Province since March 2009.
The Futaleufú River is commonly rated by specialized media as one of the best rivers in the world for kayaking and rafting. The river flows in from Argentina, through the town, and empties into the fjord-shaped Yelcho Lake. Day trips and multi-day trips are available on the Futa while several of its tributaries, such as the Espolón River and the Azul (Blue) River, can be rafted, canoed, or navigated by boat.
Two lakes, Lake Lonconao and Lake Espolón, offer opportunities for paddling and fly fishing close to the town of Futaleufú. Fly fishing is also possible on the Futaleufú River, the Yelcho River (the largest river in the Futaleufú Valley) and Espolon River, which is the largest tributary of the Futaleufú and contains brown trout and rainbow trout, as well as salmon in April and May.
Other nearby attractions include the Futaleufú National Reserve, known for its population of Huemul (South Andean deer), and Pumalín Park, Chile's largest private nature reserve. Pumalín is a public-access park, with an extensive infrastructure of trails, campgrounds, and visitor centres.
Canyoning and rappelling is also possible in the Futaleufú valley, with its numerous ravines and waterfalls, as well as horse riding and mountain biking.

Cochamo Memories
Cory and I spent 3 weeks in the Granite wonderland of Cochamo, in southern Chile. We went in with the thought of doing a new route, but found that there were many classics that absorbed our attention. We climbed long granite valley style towers, with good speed, and had three weeks of 'the simple life'.
Trekking to Cochamo Valley
An impromptu video that I made on a whim of us being up in Valley Colchamo in Chile's Lakes Region. Sorry for the quality, and next time we go up there, I hope to make a better video.

Cochamo Trail - Chile
Cochamó Valley is a valley located in the Andes, in southern Chile, The valley has a striking similarity to Yosemite Valley, due to its granite domes and old-growth forests. Like Yosemite, rock climbers from around the world come to climb the valley's several 1,000 meters (3,300 ft) granite walls. However, it is also an unexplored paradise for serious and hikers - with trails ranging from easy to challenging, a myriad of rare bird and plant life, and a stunning landscape.
Marble Caves | Chile | Drone | 4k | Kayak | Puerto Rio Tranquilo | Cathedral | General Carrera Lake
The chilean marble caves are a unique place in southern chile in latinamerica. We went kayaking to get the best pictures of the marbel cathedral, flew above stunnig rivers and the lake with a drone and climbed the surrounding mountains to get the best view over the General Carrera Lake near Argentina.
The Marble Caves, Marble Chapel and Marble Cathedral are an unusual geological formation located at the centre of the lake. They represent a group of caverns, columns and tunnels formed in monoliths of marble. The Marble Caves have been formed by wave action over the last 6,200 years.
The marble caves are also knows as capilla de marmol, which is spanish for marble cathedral.

Unique New Climbing Area Discovered In Chile | EpicTV Climbing Daily, Ep. 508
Chile isn't the first name that springs to mind when you think of major international climbing destinations. However, that may be about to change with an incredible new area currently exploding in popularity within the country. The area in question is called Valle de los Cóndores and consists of a series of basalt cliffs with incredible climbing and the potential for hundreds of routes. However, the area may soon come under threat with a proposed hydro-electric project being undertaken near the climbing. We talked to Felipe Luisi, an American climber based in the area who has shot some incredible footage of the climbing and the surrounding landscape.
Next we’re off to Banana Fingers to find out which boulder pad is the best for tackling highballs. Cailean is profiling three great choices for boulderers looking to climb taller problems. Check out the video to find out which he judges best out of the Snap Grand Wrap, the Petzl Cirro and the Trangoworld Air Pad.
