A long journey from the past into the future “curiosity and conveying it into the vision”...
Throughout history, humanity has always asked questions about the planet we live in…The power of technology advanced over the years help us reach a new piece of information about our planet every day.
There is a skydome surrounding us, which has been a beautiful scenery to millions of living beings on land and at sea since the early ages.
And behind that skydome is,
What we have been questioning, watching with curiosity and admiration, and dreaming of reaching throughout history, the “Space”.
Kaya Tuncer founded ESBAŞ and established one of the world’s leading industrial parks, the Aegean Free Zone, in Izmir Gaziemir in 1990.
Following the renowned success of the Aegean Free Zone, a NASA engineer and a friend of Kaya Tuncer, Ismail Akbay gave him the idea to open Space Camp for young minds.
In 2000, Kaya and Mary Tuncer founded Space Camp Turkey, one of only two space camps in the world, with a futuristic vision, as a meeting point for the youth all over the world
Kaya and Mary Tuncer also founded the Global Friendship Through Space Education Foundation in 2002 to give students from different countries and cultures and opportunity to interact with each other through space sciences and Technologies education and to build a bridge into the future.
The Foundation has provided many scholarships to students from around the World with a vision and mission of freedom, equality, and fraternity, giving children and kids the chance to attend Space Camp Turkey’s programs and improve themselves in space sciences and technology.
We will always remember Kaya Tuncer with longing and respect.
He knew every corner of this land and developed it.
Now, his heart beats,

Shimmering leaves

Space Camp Turkey is a place of innovation and vision.
It has welcomed nearly 300 thousand kids between the ages of 7-15 from 60 countries since its opening.
Space Camp Turkey is primarily focused on motivating young people to pursue careers in Space Sciences and Technology through multi-faceted programs. Through interactive, space-related simulations, they learn about leadership and teamwork in a dynamic, fun-filled environment.

Galactic Summer Camp | Space Camp Turkey
The Galactic Summer Camp is a 6-day program which includes educational and social activities. Galactic Summer Camp program is conducted in English or Turkish language.
• Use of all the astronaut simulators (*)
• Virtual Reality Adventure with the Hurricane 360 VR Simulator
• 3 dimension space adventure with the Riot 3D Ride Simulator
• Construct and launch a single-stage model rocket
• Mars colony design and presentation
• Explore the solar system with 360-degree viewing experience through Magic Planet
• Compete as a team during our “Astronaut Challenge” activity
• The introduction of space suits
• Observe planets, stars and other objects in the night sky with a 12-inch telescope
• Studying constellations and their positions in the sky with our Planetarium
• Virtual Mars Simulator “Mars Explorers”
• Activities that are aimed at improving problem-solving, time management, and teamwork skills
(*) Campers must be at least 4 feet (120 cm) tall and weigh no more than 210 pounds (95 kg) to ride the simulators.
