ΑΡΜΑΤΑ ΣΠΕΤΣΕΣ 2018 Representation of Spetses in Greece #Σπέτσες #Spetses #Greece

Ο Δήμος Σπετσών τιμά κάθε χρόνο την κορυφαία εκδήλωση ηρωισμού των Σπετσιωτών, τη Ναυμαχία των Σπετσών που έγινε στις 8 Σεπτεμβρίου 1822 και η οποία έχει καταγραφεί ως ένα από σημαντικότερα γεγονότα της Επανάστασης του 1821. Διοργανώνει την «Αρμάτα» τη μεγαλύτερη γιορτή του νησιού, με αναπαράσταση της ένδοξης Ναυμαχίας, πλαισιωμένη από εξαιρετικές πολιτιστικές εκδηλώσεις. Οι Σπετσιώτες αφιέρωσαν τη νίκη τους στην Παναγία, κτίζοντας το εκκλησάκι Παναγία Αρμάτα, επειδή, σύμφωνα με την παράδοση, βοήθησε τους Έλληνες να κατατροπώσουν τον τουρκικό στόλο.
Το Πολεμικό Ναυτικό τιμά την ιστορικής σημασίας ναυμαχίας με την παρουσία πλοίου και αγήματός του.
Ο Δήμος από την πλευρά του, τιμά τους προσκεκλημένους σε ειδική τελετή που γίνεται στο Δημαρχείο των Σπετσών πριν από την αναπαράσταση.

The Spetses Municipality celebrates each year the top event of the Spetses heroism, the Battle of Spetses that took place on 8 September 1822 and which has been recorded as one of the most important events of the Revolution of 1821. It organizes Armata the greatest celebration of the island, a representation of the glorious Battleship, framed by exceptional cultural events. The Spetses dedicated their victory to the Virgin Mary, building the chapel of Panagia Armata, because, according to tradition, helped the Greeks defeat the Turkish fleet.
The Navy honors the historical importance of the naval battle with the presence of its ship and its ship.
The Municipality, for its part, honors the guests at a special ceremony that takes place in the Town Hall of Spetses before the reenactment.

A short but joyful trip to Spetses Island (Greece). The film is inspired by the old Greek cinematography.
In fact, the music track used on the film is originally written by Mimis Plessas, for the movie Gorgones kai Magkes.

Spetses is a small island (area 27 km2, population 3600) located southwest of Athens, off the eastern peninsula of Peloponnese. It is a popular tourist destination and has been an athenian resort for over a century. Its vagetation consists mostly of pine trees. It has several beaches and a sea cave.
