Swim with Sea Turtles in Grand Cayman | Spotts Beach
Spotts Beach is one of the best places for spotting turtles in Grand Cayman. Swim with turtles in the open ocean, free to decide if they want to hang out with you or not. If you get there early, you're almost guaranteed to spot many of them getting the first meal of the day. Chill in the sun and count the turtles that pop up for air, or get in the ocean with your snorkel and see if you can get a turtle to smile for a Cayman Islands selfie.

Spotts Beach | Caymans Island| Hidden treasure
Spotts beach is just down the road from Georgetown and is tucked behind a cemetery. Great snorkeling and an opportunity to see sea turtles in the wild. There are not bathrooms or showers available only a grungy portable potties which is parked between the parking lot and the beach. Can't miss it.
However this spot is worth visiting.
If you do go here, never snorkel alone. Be certain that you have the strength to swim in and be aware that the currents change quickly and can be very powerful. It is shallow here but the current can knock you off your feet even close to the shore.
That’s is why my husband whom is a strong swimmer swam with my son whom is in the swim team at his where the only ones snorkeling.
On a good day you might see the see turtles. Enjoyed delicious coconuts from the merchants . Say hello to the friendly chickens .The water is so lovely, easy to get in for a swim. If you like jumping for a swim there is a dock where you can get your jump on lol
Coral reef is way out, for very strong swimmers only!
Beware of the strong currents.
Enjoy ????

. . .
The Cayman Islands were formerly known as Las Tortugas because of the immense number of sea turtles, the meat of them served as provisions for the ships that anchored on their coasts to continue their journey offshore, nowadays they are protected by the government, although there are farms where they are raised and their meat is sold to those who dare to try it and cook a special dish.
