St John's Church, Polperro, Cornwall - Christmas Carol Service
This was recorded in 1996.
Service was conducted by Mary Hall. Organist: Jim Howat.
The church closed in 2008.
Talland was the mother church of Polperro and is some three miles along the coast towards Looe.
I believe the attendance dropped due to irregular service times and some weeks with no service at all. The video proves the church was well supported at the time.
You can read more about Polperro church and the closure on the BBC news website at
St Wenn church
This video is of the inside of St Wenna's church at St Wenn, near Withiel, near Wadebridge, Cornwall, UK. The church may look quite new, that is because recently central heating has been installed in the floor so they had to rip out the old floor and all the old pews are gone, not sure about their fate. There is an old photograph of the old church by the organ if you do visit sometime. I, I must say, is very lucky and feels very privileged to have been able to see the church with its original floor and pews before they were taken out a few years back. I have a picture on my computer of what I took from back then. If you like modern this is a good place. The outside of the church looks very old but the inside of the church, you might find it hard to think that it is not a late 19th century building!

Sennen Church
Sennen Church is a parish church in Sennen, Cornwall. The church is the first and last church on mainland Britain. There has been a church here since 520 AD however the present church was built in the 13th century with the tower being built in the 14th century and the South Aisle being added in the 15th century. The church is dedicated to St Sennen, who the village of Sennen is named after. Located in the churchyard are two wayside crosses, both showing that there has been a church here for a lot longer than the one which is there now. Nearby is Sennen Hedge Standing Stone which shows that this area has been used for religious practices for thousands of years. The churchyard is unusually very small and the tower, even though it isn't exactly the highest church tower in the world, can be seen for miles around. The church is built out of granite blocks.

Joseph of Arimathea was, according to all four canonical Gospels, the man who donated his own prepared tomb for the burial of Jesus after Jesus' crucifixion.A number of stories that developed during the Middle Ages connect him with both Glastonbury, where he is supposed to have founded the earliest Christian oratory, and also with the Grail legend.

Just a thought...
If God existed before everything then God has no needs,
If God has no needs then God is vulnerable to nothing,
If God is vulnerable to nothing then God can't be threatened,
If God can't be threatened then God has no purpose for laws,
If God has no purpose for laws then we have free will,
If we have free will then there is no punishment,
If there is no punishment then there is no 'Hell',
If there is no 'Hell' then there is no 'evil' or 'Devil'.
Andy's National Trust Travel Blogs: Morwenstow, drift wood cabin, Cornwall
There are 500+ places of interest in the UK under the National Trust banner and I will be attempting to visit as many as I can, reporting as I do all the important stuff relative to accessibility.
This driftwood cabin overlooks the cliff top in North Cornwall, however, I didn't get to see it because of a locked gate. It was made for a parson named Hawker, and was his quiet retreat with stunning views.
Robert Stephen Hawker (3 December 1803 – 15 August 1875) was an Anglican priest, poet, antiquarian of Cornwall and reputed eccentric. He is best known as the writer of The Song of the Western Men with its chorus line of And shall Trelawny die? / Here's twenty thousand Cornish men / will know the reason why!, which he published anonymously in 1825. His name became known after Charles Dickens acknowledged his authorship of The Song of the Western Men in the serial magazine Household Words.
He was an eccentric man, known for dressing up as a mermaid and excommunicating his cat for mousing on a sunday!

Polperro
Polperro is a village and fishing harbour on the south-east Cornwall coast in the south west of England, within the civil parish of Lansallos.
Polperro, through which runs the River Pol, is 7 miles east of Fowey and 4 miles west of the neighbouring town of Looe and 25 miles west of the major city and naval port of Plymouth. It is a noted tourist destination, particularly in the summer months, for its idyllic appearance with tightly-packed ancient fishermen's houses which survive almost untouched, its quaint harbour and attractive coastline.

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! SUMMARY
=======
Tristan da Cunha (), colloquially Tristan, is both a remote group of volcanic islands in the south Atlantic Ocean and the main island of that group. It is the most remote inhabited archipelago in the world which lies proximately 1,511 miles (2,432 km) off the coast of Cape Town in South Africa, 1,343 miles (2,161 km) from Saint Helena and 2,166 miles (3,486 km) off the coast from the Falkland Islands. The territory consists of the main island, Tristan da Cunha, which has a north–south length of 11.27 kilometres (7.00 mi) and an area of 98 square kilometres (38 sq mi), and the smaller, uninhabited Nightingale Islands and the wildlife reserves of Inaccessible and Gough islands. As of October 2018, the main island has 250 permanent inhabitants who all carry British Overseas Territories citizenship. The other islands are uninhabited, except for the personnel of a weather station on Gough Island.
Tristan da Cunha is part of the British overseas territory of Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha. This includes Saint Helena and also near-equatorial Ascension Island, which lies some 1,741 miles (2,802 km) to the north of Tristan. There is no airstrip of any kind on the main island meaning the only way of traveling in and out of Tristan is by boat, a six-day trip from South Africa.
