SLOVENIA: The magnificent BAROQUE CATHEDRAL of SAINT NICHOLAS in LJUBLJANA
SUBSCRIBE: - Let's visit the Ljubljana Cathedral, officially named St. Nicholas's Cathedral (or, the Cathedral of St. Nicholas, or simply the Cathedral). It is a cathedral in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia in Europe. Originally, Ljubljana Cathedral was a Gothic church. In the early 18th century, it was replaced by a Baroque building. It is an easily recognizable landmark of the city with its green dome and twin towers and stands at Cyril and Methodius Square by the nearby Ljubljana Central Market and Town Hall.
Slovenia, a country in Central Europe, is known for its mountains, ski resorts and lakes. On Lake Bled, a glacial lake fed by hot springs, the town of Bled contains a church-topped islet and a cliffside medieval castle. In Ljubljana, Slovenia’s capital, baroque facades mix with the 20th-century architecture of native Jože Plečnik, whose iconic Tromostovje (Triple Bridge) spans the tightly curving Ljubljanica River.

After crossing the bridge towards St. Francesco's Cathedral, I found the plaza of Pre-Sheren. It is noticeable that group tourists gather to listen to the guide's explanation. It is a statue of Francesche Preherren, a 19th century poet who represents the city of romance and love. Julia liked poetry. So Preceren has built many poems for Julia. The statue of Preceren is here, and Julia's house was right there. Preceren is still looking at Julia. It's a beautiful love story. Following Franço's gaze, he and his wife, Julia Primitz's house and bronze statue appear. Julia, the daughter of the nobleman, finally did not accept his courtship. Slovenia's most beloved writer, Franche Preceren, spent his entire life in Kran, 30 minutes away by car from Ljubljana. There is still his birthplace here. This is Pre-Sheren's house. It is now used as a museum. Shiro is a romantic poet who established new norms in Slovenian literature and inspired ethnic sentiments. Francesche Preheren put on a beautiful poem with her first love Julia in her heart. This leaves their love forever.

Cathedral of Freedom / Hommage to Joze Plecnik
Cathedral of Freedom / Plečnik Parliament (Slovene: Plečnikov parlament) is the colloquial name of two designs for a building intended to house the legislature of the People's Republic of Slovenia within the second Yugoslavia. Formally known as the Slovene Acropolis and the Cathedral of Freedom (Slovenska akropola / Katedrala svobode), the two designs were proposed in 1947 by Slovenia's most eminent architect, Jože Plečnik, but were rejected in favour of a more conventional design.
A square, colonnaded false façade would have surrounded the cylindrical main building of two stories, surmounted by a tall, spirally tapering conical cupola. Supported internally by inclined columns, the cupola would have spanned the parliament chamber. The facade would have measured 50 m in length, the tower rising to 120 m. Several slightly varying designs were produced, some including a second colonnade wrapping the second floor of the main building, different porticoes, or an asymmetrical ground floor.

MUNICH: ASAM CHURCH, ROCOCO and BAROQUE STYLE gone completely mad here (GERMANY) ⛪
SUBSCRIBE: - Let's go to Bavaria in Germany and let's visit the world famous Asam Church which is a Baroque church in Munich, southern Germany, built from 1733 to 1746 by the brothers, sculptor Egid Quirin Asam, and painter Cosmas Damian Asam as their private church. It is considered to be one of the most important buildings of the southern German Late Baroque.
Munich, Bavaria’s capital, is home to centuries-old buildings and numerous museums. The city is known for its annual Oktoberfest celebration and its beer halls, including the famed Hofbräuhaus, founded in 1589. In the Altstadt (Old Town), central Marienplatz square contains landmarks such as Neo-Gothic Neues Rathaus (town hall), with a popular glockenspiel show that chimes and reenacts stories from the 16th century.

Peter Nastran - Catholic Charismatic Renewal Slovenia
Religion in Slovenia Religion en Slovénie الدين في سلوفينيا Feja në Slloveni
The dominant religion in Slovenia is Christianity, primarily the Catholic Church, the largest Christian denomination in the country. Other Christian groups having significant followings in the country include Eastern Orthodoxy and Protestantism (Lutheranism). Islam (2.4%), Judaism and Hinduism are small minorities in Slovenia. About 10% of the population are either agnostic or atheist.[2][3]
Religion played a significant role in the development of the Slovenian nation and of the country of Slovenia.[citation needed] After a centuries-long tradition of a state church, interrupted by the periods of Protestant Reformation (in the 16th century) and post–World War II socialism (which ousted religion from the public life), a degree of separation of the state and the church has been reached in independent Slovenia. In February 2007 Slovenia passed a new Religious Freedom Act with a bias towards the Catholic Church (particularly in regard to state funding) and strict terms for the registration of new religious communities.[3]
The Muslims in Slovenia are ethnically mostly Bosniaks and other Slavic Muslims.[5] In 2014, there were 48,266 Muslims in Slovenia, making up about 2.4 percent of the total population.[6] The Muslim community of Slovenia is headed by Nedžad Grabus [sl].[7]
According to the published data from the 2002 Slovenian census, out of a total of 47,488 Muslims (2.4% of the total population) 2,804 Muslims (5.90% of the total Muslims in Slovenia) declared themselves as ethnic Slovenian Muslims.[8]
There are also Muslims from Central, South and Southeast Asia, who are not counted in the census because they are migrant workers.
The small Jewish community of Slovenia(Slovene: Judovska skupnost Slovenije) is estimated at 400 to 600 members, with the Jewish community of Slovenia suggesting 500 to 1000 members. Around 130 are officially registered,[9] most of whom live in the capital, Ljubljana. The Jewish community was devastated by the Shoah, and has never fully recovered. Until 2003, Ljubljana was the only European capital city without a Jewish place of worship.[10]
