THE HUSSLE AND BUSSLE- STABROEK MARKET {GEORGETOWN, GUYANA 2019}
HEY YA'LL, THANK YOU CLICKING ONTO MY VIDEO.
LIFE IN GUYANA IS BEAUTIFUL, SOMEWHAT FREE, ENJOYABLE ETC. BUT, IT CAN BE VERYYYYYY EXPENSIVE... MANY TIMES TEARS CAME TO MY EYES WHEN I SAW HOW SOME PEOPLE ARE LIVING OR I SAW A HOMELESS PERSON SLEEPING OUTSIDE OF THE PARLIAMENT BUILDINGS'' FENCE.. THE STRUGGLE IS REAL THERE FOR THOSE THAT DO NOT HAVE IT.
PLEASE LIFT UP THE ENTIRE NATION IN YOUR PRAYERS FOR BETTERMENT FOR ALL GUYANESE. IN GUYANA, YOU NEED TO HAVE SOME TYPE OF A HUSSLE OR A GOOD JOB TO MAKE IT.. THE COST OF LIVING IS HIGH AND THERE AREN'T VERY MANY JOBS IN MY OPINION ALBEIT THERE'S MANY AVENUES TO CREATE LONG-TERM EMPLOYMENT FOR MANY THAT I'VE SEEN FIRST HAND... I WILL DO A SIT DOWN VIDEO SOMETIME TO TALK ABOUT IT. ANYWAYS.. ENOUGH OF MY RAMBLING
IN THIS VIDEO I PUT TOGETHER SOME CLIPS I RECORDED FROM THE DIFFERENT DAYS I VENTURED INTO THE CAPITAL CITY. DAILY PEOPLE ARE ON THE GRIND IN GEORGETOWN, THE STABROEK MARKET AREA IS ALWAYS BUSY WITH PEOPLE SELLING AND BUYING PRODUCTS.. I ALWAYS FIND MYSELF IN THIS AREA WHEN VISITING GUYANA TO GET MY FRESH SEASONINGS, CASREEP AND SO ON...I KNOW THE VIDEO IS LENGHTY..I TRUST YOU ENJOY THE SCENERY AND STUFF.

Strolling through Stabroek Market in Georgetown, Guyana
Michael and I walk through Stabroek Market, the heartbeat of Georgetown with a bustling shopping scene and the capital’s central bus station. I bought some super-cheap cookies-and-cream Oreos from a street vendor, which I would later realize had a “use by” date of 2015 and were horrible.
STABROEK MARKET AREA TO BECOME A 'CIVIC AREA' FOR THIS XMAS
The Mayor and City Council strives to give Georgetown residents the ‘’best Christmas gift’ and that’s safety throughout the city’s commercial areas this Christmas. Dennis Glasgow has that report.

Riding the minibus can be a convenient and low-cost way to travel through Georgetown, the capital of Guyana. However, if you're not careful it'll be a very uncomfortable and dangerous experience. To help you avoid this: here is a list of Five Things to Avoid When Choosing a Minibus.
1. Avoid new, colorful, and flashy minibuses.
2. Avoid young drivers.
3. Avoid minibuses playing loud music.
4. Avoid minibuses that break traffic laws to reach you.
5. Avoid minibuses that are loaded with over 15 passengers.
Georgetown bus fares range from $100GY to $140GY. Refer to the Ministry of Business Fare List that is required to be posted conspicuously inside the minibus.
Minibuses can be identified by the two-digit number on the front and the back of the bus.
Generally, the name to the left of the number is the origin point. The name to the right of the number is the destination.
All buses start at the streets surrounding Stabroek Market. This area is sometimes referred to as Stabroek Bus Park or simply the Park.
The inner-city Georgetown routes are as follows:
Route 40 Kitty/Campbellville
(Some stop in Kitty some stop in Campbellville)
Route 41 Stabroek/South (Ruimveldt Gardens)
Route 41 Stabroek/GUYHOC (Gardens)
Route 45 Hospital/Albert St
(Ends at the Georgetown Public Hospital or Albert Street, Alberttown, Georgetown)
Route 46 Durban St/Lodge
(Runs the length of Durban Street through the neighborhood of Lodge. Ends at Mandela Street)
Route 47 East/West
(Stops in East Ruimveldt or West Ruimveldt)
Route 48 Georgetown/Sophia
Regional minibus routes:
East Bank of the Demerara River
Route 42 Georgetown/Timheri (This is a confusing route that requires an episode to itself. Fares range from $100GY to $1,000GY)
Route 43 Georgetown/Linden ($1,000GY)
East Coast of the Demerara River
Route 44 Georgetown/Mahaica ($100 to idk, I've never gone that far on the East Coast by bus.
What are some of your minibus tips? Let us know in the comments. Be sure to like and share!
