Kesan pertama ketika tiba ditempat ini cukup menyenangkan karena disuguhi pemandangan taman dengan pepohonan yang tertutup oleh salju dan berjajar di kanan dan kiri membentuk lorong, terkesan sangat romantis. Kemudian sebagai jantung taman ini ada semacam monumen dengan bunga-bunga dibawahnya yang ternyata setelah dilihat lebih dekat adalah bunga sintetis. Meski pemandangan yang disajikan cukup indah, kebersihan tempat ini pada musim dingin terutama, kurang terjaga. Salju yang seharusnya berwarna putih bersih berubah menjadi abu-abu bahkan hitam. Perlu kewaspadaan ekstra saat berjalan di musim dingin karena jalanannya cukup licin.

Stalin Park is one of the most famous scenic spots in Harbin City. Built in 1953, it now stands as an evidence of the friendship between China and Soviet Union at that time.

Sun Island's Russian Style Town (Harbin, China)
Sun Island's Russian Style Town / 俄罗斯风情小镇 or Russian village is near the ferry boat. The Sun Island / 太阳岛 park itself offers a pleasant stroll during the warmer months and on the weekends newly married couples can be seen taking pictures. In the winter, it becomes part of the snow sculpture festivities. However, as with everything in Harbin, the park itself is still very Chinese with a Russian village staffed with real Russians, cages full of squirrels, a petting deer area (just have to buy them some food) etc. Sun Island can also be reached by cable car, the station of which is in a hotel near Stalin Park.
